Funds awarded should be used for travel expenses in attending a professional meeting for presentation of research results or professional development.
- Requirements include
- Enrolled full-time in any Phd or MS program in CASNR.
- Students must be involved in a research project(s) closely related to natural resource conservation, including, but not limited to soil, water, and wildlife (especially birds).
- Academic achievement is a criterion.
- Students shall also be judged on the basis of their potential for future promise for contributing to natural resource conservation, as judged by characteristics such as integrity, dependability, and perseverance.
- Awards will be applied in semester/session trip is taken. Depending on student status, funds will be applied to the student's account or provided through payroll.
Nomination materials are accepted year round and awarded until fund has been expended. This is a small fund and awards are unlikely to cover the total trip costs.
Students must be nominated by a faculty or staff member.
Your nomination information may be provided to the University of Nebraska Foundation or Donor in order to aid in choosing a recipient, or invite you to attend a meeting/luncheon with the donors of your funding or provide more information on your award.
