Call for Proposals
Status: Notification will be e-mailed to the presenter listed as "primary" by March 8, 2017. Primary presenters are responsible for notifying co-presenters of the decision.
Evaluation criteria: The Proposal Committee will evaluate proposals based on the session's relevance and appropriateness to the field, supporting evidence, and clarity of participant outcomes. The committee prioritizes a conference program that is balanced across current topics and targeted audiences.
The committee is unable to accept proposals promoting commercial interests. Vendors wishing to present at the conference should contact the Vendor Committee Co-chairs Margo Vaughan (firstname.lastname@example.org) or Peggy Watkins (PeggyW@va.childcareaware.org).
Session length: 90 minutes
Special Requests: If you require special consideration in scheduling or assignment of a session room (e.g. those sessions requiring floor space for movement activities or rounds of tables for group discussion), please communicate those directly to the Proposal Chair listed below immediately after submitting your proposal.
Audiovisual equipment: LCD projectors and projection screens will be provided. Presenters are responsible for any additional equipment needed (including speakers, laptops, and adapters for Apple products).
Handouts: Handouts will be available to participants through the CCSS Conference App. Presenters will be required to submit handouts electronically by June 9, 2017. If accepted, details and submission instructions will be provided.
Registration will be available March 8, 2017 by visiting the VCPD website. One presenter per accepted proposal will qualify for free registration. One additional presenter will receive 50% off the registration fee. Discount codes will be included in acceptance notifications.
