    Camp Registration 2025
     

    Please complete one registration form for each child you would like to attend. Our programs are available to our members only.

    If you are not a CPF member, please sign up for a membership at https://cpf.ca/en/join-cpf/, indicate you would like to become a member in the registration form below and we will add the membership to your camp file, or, you can add your membership to your registration simply by selecting a membership in the list of camp options.

    Please note that the membership is completely free, and you must complete the sign-up yourself through the link above. Selecting a membership during registration does not automatically create one for you.

     

    Note: As part of registration, you will be asked to upload a photo of your child's Health Card. Please upload ONLY your child's health card, NOT a photo of your child.

     

    Cancellation Policy

    Cancellation requests must be received a minimum of 14 days prior to the start of camp. An administration fee of $25 will apply to ALL cancellations.  Cancellations received later, will qualify for a 50% refund of camp fees. If your child must leave camp for medical reasons, a refund for the remainder of camp will be provided with a copy of a doctor's letter.

    If your child leaves camp due to home sickness, a refund will not be provided.

    For insurance reasons, membership is required to participate in this activity. If you are unsure of your membership status, we will check for you.

  • Day Camp

    Canadian Parents for French Nova Scotia Day Camp has been successfully running for over 25 years. Some of our original campers are even sending their children to enjoy the Camp experience!  

    Day camp is held in July and August. Participants enjoy games and a variety of arts and crafts while making new friends and expanding their knowledge of French language and culture.

    Camp activities start daily from 9:00am-4:00pm. 

    Drop off starts at 8:30 AM & Pick up starts at 3:30 PM

    Early drop off and late pick up should be arranged prior to the first day. All camp activities are weather and safety dependent.

    Campers will benefit from a consistent approach to French language learning in this fun-filled environment. Participants must be enrolled in French Immersion or a CSAP school.

    Ages: 6- 10 years old

     

    Camp Chocolat Dates  

    Week 1: July 7, 2025 - July 11, 2025 

    Week 2: July 14, 2025 - July 18, 2025 

     

     

    Cost: $260.00 + HST per week 

    Location: Shambhala School of Halifax, 5450 Russell St, Halifax, NS  

     

    Camp Du Soleil Dates   

    Week 1: July 21, 2025 - July 25, 2025 

    Week 2: July 28, 2025 - August 11, 2025 

     

     

    Cost: $260.00 + HST per week 

    Location: Woodlawn United Church, 54 Woodlawn Rd, Dartmouth NS

  • Overnight Camp

    Canadian Parents for French Nova Scotia Day Camp has been successfully running for over 30 years. Some of our original campers are even sending their children to enjoy the Camp experience!  

    Overnight camps are held in August. Participants enjoy games, sports, Swimming (weather and water quality permitting) and a variety of arts and crafts while making new friends and expanding their knowledge of French language and culture.

     

    Campers will stay overnight in one of our cabins and benefit from a consistent approach to French language learning in this fun-filled environment. Participants must be in Core French, French Immersion or a CSAP school.

    Ages: 10 - 14 years old

     

    Camp Frantastique

    Located at Johnston's Christian Park:

    August 4 - August 8

     

    Cost: $340 + HST per week.

     

    Camp De La Baie

    Located at Bayside Camp:

    1503 Ketch Harbour Rd, Sambro Head, NS

     

    August 18 - 23

     

    Cost: $490 + HST

     

    Camp Breton

    Located at Camp BretonDean:

  • CPF NS will do everything it can to accommodate your cabin preference.

     

    Please Note:

    Due to facilities constraints, we are not able to offer an all-gender cabin at Camp Breton, but we will do our utmost to ensure that every child can participate. 

  • If you would like your child to be bunked with a friend, please complete the cabin request form. This year, we will allow two (2) cabin bunk request per camper. 

     

    A cabin request form will be sent to you in the beginning of the month of June and must be submitted 2 weeks before the start of the camp you have registered for.

     

  • You have selected that you are unsure if you have a membership with us. We will check our database to verify your membership status. 

     

    If you do not have a membership, one will be added to your registration for you.

    For insurance reasons, membership is required in order to participate in Canadian Parents for French activities.

    You can pay for your membership, along with your camp fees by adding it to your order, or you can go to the membership page of our website by clicking here and pay for membership separately.

    Please make sure to use the same email address to register for camp as you do for your membership. We will verify your membership status before accepting your child's registration.

    The camp(s) you have selcted are for students/children who are currently in Early Immersion or Francophone school only.  

     

    This camp is an Immersion atmosphere and your child will be expected to speak in French the entire time they are at camp. Students in other french programs have not yet learned the required vocabulary. 

  • Camper Health & Diet Information

    Please answer the questions about your child's health below. Remember that ALL prescriptions and over the counter medications (except Epipens and Asthma inhalers) will be stored in a locked and secure area accessible only by camp staff.

  • Medications

     

    Please provide information about your child's prescription(s). This information will only be used to properly administer your child's medication.  

    Be sure that your childs medication is in the original bottle when bringing it to camp.

    All medications will be stored in a locked medicine box with a First Aid certified counselor.

    Please do not send your child to camp with any over the counter medications in their bag. We will provide allergy medications such as Claratin, Reactine, and Benadryl as needed. We will also have medications for headaches, inflamation, upset stomach and a variety of other ailments such a Gravol, Pepto Bismol, and After Bite. 

    We also ask that if you send sunscreen to camp with your child, ensure that it is in spray form and not a cream. In addition, we will also have insect and tick repellant available for our campers to use as the camp sites can be quite buggy during the evening.

    If we have not listed an over the counter medication that your child may need, please reach out to our office and we will make sure that we have it on hand.

  • Emergency Contacts

    Please provide 2 emergency contacts (NOT YOURSELF OR YOUR SPOUSE) that we can contact in the event of an emergency with your child and we are unable to reach you.

     

    Note:  These contacts will be used in the event of an emergency if we are unable to reach you.

  • Camp Waiver

    Depending on the camp your child will be attending, you may need to complete an additional waiver for insurance purposes.

  • Camp Frantastique Special Waiver

    If you are attending camp Frantastique please complete this special waiver. This camp features an obstacle course and an archery range. Children cannot participate in these activities if this waiver is not complete.

  • Payment

    Use the spaces provided below to enter your payment details. for encryption purposes the card number is broken down into blocks. Payments will be processed 2 weeks before camp begins. Please note: we do not accept e-transfers for payment of camp fees. An invoice will be sent to you via email which will contain your total. Payment will be processed on the date specified in the email. We accept Visa, Master Card, American Express and Visa Debit.
  • Note: CIBC and BMO Visa Debit cards are not accepted.

  • Donate to Canadian Parents for French Nova Scotia

    Canadian Parents for French is a registered charity. Funds raised through donations go directly back to programming. 

    Every contribution, big or small, helps us champion the opportunity to learn and use French for all those who call Canada home.

    Thanks to donors like you, we can facilitate additional youth projects and learning opportunities throughout Nova Scotia and inspire members to become active advocates and leaders in their communities. Add your voice to our growing national volunteer movement.

    As an organization, we remain truly grateful for your generosity. Donations of $20 or more will be issued a tax receipt.

    If you choose to donate, the donation amount will be added to your camp invoice and processed with your camp payment.

      

  • Camp Bursaries and Scholarships

     

    There are a limited number of bursaries and scholarships available for each camp. We will be giving preference to applicants based on financial need.

     

    If you select yes, an invitation to submit a subsidy application will be sent to you by email.

     

    Note: You may also request a payment plan in the payment section below. Contact our office cpf@ns.cpf.ca to set up your payment plan once you have submitted your registration.

  • Please note that you will require your registration number to complete an application for subsidy. Your registration number will be provided after clicking the submit button on the final screen of this registration or you can find it above.

  • Please contact our office to set up a payment plan once you have submitted your registration. Your application will not be accepted if we do not have a payment plan on file.

  • Our overnight camps feature a snack canteen called The Tuck Shop.

    Campers can purchase sweet and salty snacks such as chips, chocolate bars, candy, and soft drinks throughout their stay at camp.

    Note: During drop-off, you will be asked to leave your child's "Tuck Shop" funds with staff. This is to prevent these funds from getting lost or stolen. The amount you leave will be recorded in a database and locked up in a cash box. The balance will be returned to you when you pick up your child.
