Please read all of the text below before continuing the registration process. CRA is committed to providing a safe and inclusive environment for our attendees. We are continuously monitoring recommended safety protocols and will provide specific details about what will be required closer to the event date. CRA CONFERENCE ATTENDEE WAIVER AND RELEASE OF LIABILITY

The individual named below (referred to as “I” or “me”) desires to attend (any person in attendance including sponsors, exhibitors, volunteers, speakers, attendees, etc.; all referred to as "attending," "attendee") the Carolina Recycling Association 34th Annual Conference and Trade Show (the “Conference”). In consideration of being permitted by the Carolina Recycling Association (“CRA”) to attend the Conference and in recognition of CRA’s reliance hereon, I agree to all the terms and conditions set forth in this agreement (this “Release”).

COVID-19 Policy & Risks: 

• I acknowledge that an inherent risk of exposure to COVID-19 exists in any public place where people are present. By attending the CRA 34th Annual Conference & Tradeshow, I voluntarily assume all risks related to exposure to COVID-19. CRA will follow CDC guidance and requirements set forth at the federal, state, and local level. I will comply with any and all such orders, directives, and guidelines while attending the Conference including, without limitation, requirements related to hand sanitation, social distancing, use of face coverings deemed as effective at preventing the spread of COVID-19 according to CDC guidelines, temperature checks, proof of vaccination, or proof of recent negative COVID-19 test. I will also follow all instructions and requirements of CRA while attending the Conference. I understand that if I have not complied with the above I will not be permitted in conference areas.
• I am aware of the highly contagious nature of the 2019 novel coronavirus disease (“COVID19”) and the risk that I may be exposed to or contract COVID-19 by attending the Conference. I understand and acknowledge that such exposure or infection may result in illness, personal injury, psychological injury, pain, suffering, temporary or permanent disability, death, property damage, and/or financial loss. I acknowledge that this risk may result from or be compounded by the actions, omissions, or negligence of others, including CRA employees. I understand that while CRA has implemented preventative measures designed to reduce the spread of COVID-19, CRA cannot guarantee that I will not become infected with COVID-19 while attending the Conference and that attending the Conference may increase my risk of contracting COVID-19. 
• Notwithstanding the risks associated with COVID-19, I acknowledge that I am voluntarily electing to attend the conference with knowledge of the danger involved. I hereby agree to accept and assume all risks of illness, personal injury, psychological injury, pain, suffering, disability, death, property damage, and/or financial loss related to COVID-19, arising from my attendance of the conference, whether caused by the ordinary negligence of cra or otherwise. 
• I hereby expressly waive and release any and all claims, now known or hereafter known, against CRA, and its officers, directors, employees, agents, affiliates, successors, and assigns (collectively, “Releasees”), on account of personal or psychological injury, illness, pain, suffering, disability, death, property damage, or financial loss arising out of or attributable to my attendance of the Conference being exposed to or contracting COVID-19, whether arising out of the ordinary negligence of CRA or any Releasees or otherwise. I covenant not to make or bring any such claim against CRA or any other Releasee, and forever release and discharge CRA and all other Releasees from liability under such claims. This waiver and release does not extend to claims for gross negligence, willful misconduct, or any other liabilities that North Carolina law does not permit to be released by agreement. 
• I shall defend, indemnify, and hold harmless CRA and all other Releasees against any and all losses, damages, liabilities, deficiencies, claims, actions, judgments, settlements, interest, awards, penalties, fines, costs, or expenses of whatever kind, including reasonable attorney fees, fees, the costs of enforcing any right to indemnification under this Release, and the cost of pursuing any insurance providers, incurred by/awarded against CRA or any other
• Releasees in a final non-appealable judgment, arising out or resulting from any claim of a third party related to COVID-19 due to my attendance of the Conference, including any claim related to my own negligence or the ordinary negligence of CRA.
• This Release constitutes the sole and entire agreement of CRA and me with respect to the subject matter contained herein and supersedes all prior and contemporaneous understandings, agreements, representations, and warranties, both written and oral, with respect to such subject matter. If any term or provision of this Release is invalid, illegal, or unenforceable in any jurisdiction, such invalidity, illegality, or unenforceability shall not affect any other term or provision of this Release or invalidate or render unenforceable such term or provision in any other jurisdiction. This Release is binding on and shall inure to the benefit of CRA and me and our respective successors and assigns. All matters arising out of or relating to this Release shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the internal laws of the State of North Carolina without giving effect to any choice or conflict of law provision or rule (whether of the State of North Carolina or any other jurisdiction). Any claim or cause of action arising under this Release may be brought only in the federal and state courts located in North Carolina and I hereby consent to the exclusive jurisdiction of such courts.
• I acknowledge that I have read and understood all of the terms of this release and that I am voluntarily giving up substantial legal rights, including the right to sue CRA.

Additional Permissions:

• Photo & Video Release: II grant to CRA the right to take photographs or video of me in connection with the CRA 34th Annual Conference & Tradeshow. I authorize CRA to copyright, use, and publish the same in print or electronically. I agree that CRA may use or reproduce such photographs or video with or without my name or biography and for any lawful purpose, including but not limited to newsletters or promotional material, whether in print, electronic or other media, including the CRA website.
• Privacy Policy: During the process of providing you services on behalf of Carolina Recycling Association (CRA), CRA may collect, store, or transmit your personal identifiable information such as name, address, contact information, preferences, demographic information, as well as any hotel or travel requests you provide us. This information is necessary for the facilitation of registration and communication services for you. This information may be shared with other 3rd parties, such as event organizers, planners, event service providers, and travel or lodging providers. By checking the box below, you agree to allow CRA and its appropriate contractors to collect and use this information for promotional and event management purposes.
