All applicants for Higher Education courses have to supply a reference. If you are under 19 and/or have been in full-time education for the last year, your reference should be from your current or most recent school or college. If you are 19 or over and in employment, please supply a reference from your current employer. If you are 19 or over and haven't been in employment or full-time education for the last year, you will still need to provide a written reference from a responsible person other than a family member or friend. We would request that the reference includes details on the following areas: predicted achievement or application to work tasks, motivation, general behaviour and relationships with others, attendance, punctuality, reliability and other relevant comments.
Please attach your reference to this form, or have it sent separately to the Admissions Office.
This privacy notice is issued by the Education and Skills Funding Agency (ESFA), on behalf of the Secretary of State for the Department of Education (DfE). It is to inform learners how their personal information will be used by the DfE, the ESFA (an executive agency of the DfE) and any successor bodies to these organisations. The English European Social Fund (ESF) Managing Authority (or agents acting on its behalf) may contact you in order for them to carry out research and evaluation to inform the effectiveness of training.
