• CREDA Georgia 2026 Awards for Excellence: Submission Form

Submissions are due Friday, Oct. 30, 2026, at 11:59 p.m. No exceptions. Complete one form per category entered.
  • Thank you for submitting to the CREDA Georgia 2026 Awards for Excellence. Winners will be honored at the Awards Luncheon on Friday, Dec. 4, 2026.

Please review the eligibility rules, submission requirements and judging criteria below before you begin. The criteria apply to your full submission package, not only to the category description. Judges do not visit the projects, so your package needs to tell the whole story.

Entering more than one category? Complete a separate form for each category. Each category is reviewed by different judges, so each entry must stand on its own and address that category's criteria. You may reuse images across entries.

  • Eligibility

Membership. Only CREDA Georgia members can submit an entry and receive the winning trophy at the Awards Luncheon. The owner, developer, general contractor or architect submitting must employ at least one CREDA Georgia member. Non-members may be part of the team announced in December and can purchase an additional trophy.

Location. The project must be located in Georgia.

Completion date. Projects must have been completed and received a Certificate of Occupancy between March 1, 2025, and Oct. 5, 2026.

One year only. A building or space may be submitted in only one awards year. If a project contains multiple buildings that deliver in different years, each building may be submitted in the year it delivers, even if the buildings are part of a larger master-planned project.

Judging. CREDA Georgia reserves the right to reassign submissions and to add, amend, split or drop categories based on submissions received. Each category is judged on the criteria below and on responses to the questions in this form.

Your executive summary and narrative should address each of the following:

    • Summary. Describe as applicable.
    • Overall concept. Discuss the goal, plan and implementation; the compatibility and diversity of the use groups; the overall project design concept; and the project's success. Context of the project within its surroundings is helpful to judges.
    • Design. Identify specific design ideas, including benefits and amenities. Address zoning, code, site and building constraints, and client limitations.
    • Innovation. Describe any innovative design concepts, construction methods, materials or technologies. Highlight creative approaches to problem-solving, process improvements, or adaptability to site constraints and external conditions. Discuss how these innovations improved project delivery, user experience or well-being, and sustainability.
    • Achievement of goals. Describe how the project team overcame challenges to achieve the client's goals, including strategies used to meet design, budget, schedule or operational objectives, particularly in response to unforeseen issues during construction. • Helpful Hints
      1. Describe the project in the context of its site and the specific design challenges and solutions that make it the best in its category. Judges consider innovative design and construction techniques, entitlement process, building materials, functional requirements, security, treatment of service and loading areas, sustainable site design, landscaping and more.
      2. Your executive summary and narrative should not be the same. The summary gives an overview of the project's winning features in short bullets; the narrative expands on those bullets in detail.
      3. Beyond the project's physical characteristics, include challenges (budget constraints, schedule, entitlement process, environmental issues, etc.) where appropriate. Overcoming challenges is a factor in selecting winners.
      4. Do not submit a narrative prepared for another organization's awards program. Tailor it to CREDA Georgia's criteria.
      5. Photos should support your summary and narrative. If an exceptional lobby is central to your entry, include lobby photos and describe the feature in its caption.
      6. Quality, illustrative photos are key. Judges do not visit the projects and may not know the site.
      7. For Repositioning / Redevelopment, before and after photos are extremely helpful. If no before photos exist, describe the original condition in the summary or narrative.
      8. Photos may be used in the awards program presentation. Do not add captions to uploaded images.
      9. Accuracy matters. Please make sure all information is correct. Originality, complete descriptions and neatness count.
