The position
We are currently seeking a proactive and analytical Cash Flow Controller to join Awaze’s finance team, which operates within the Commercial Finance division. This key position will be instrumental in supporting the daily management of financial processes, with a strong focus on liquidity and cash flow optimization.
As the new Cash Flow Controller you will be responsible for maintaining a comprehensive overview of balance sheet accounts and their monthly movements. You will prepare derived cash flow analyses that inform Awaze's financial strategies and will develop annual and quarterly budgets and forecasts for the balance sheet. Additionally, you will create supporting tools and models to enhance cash flow management practices.
Daily liquidity checks will be a vital part of your responsibilities, allowing you to maximize interest income and effectively manage expenses across banking engagements. You will compile weekly liquidity reports, analyze cash movements, and provide variance explanations to ensure transparency in Awaze's financial standing. Monthly cash flow forecasts will be prepared in collaboration with the UK group function to optimize working capital, while you will support critical treasury tasks and maintain strong relationships with banking partners. Your insights will also be essential in analyzing payment services across Europe and facilitating ongoing communication with payment providers and credit card acquirers.
Collaboration will be key, as you will work closely with partners and stakeholders across multiple European countries. Your contributions will significantly enhance financial processes and ensure effective cash flow management in alignment with Awaze's strategic goals.
The ideal candidate
The ideal candidate for this position will possess a solid background in finance, with relevant experience from a similar role within an international organization or from CFO Services at a large audit firm. While a background in auditing or treasury is advantageous, it is not a strict requirement.
To succeed in this role, you should demonstrate the ability to define your own parameters and take the initiative in your work. A focus on both business implications and financial aspects is essential, along with proficiency in IT tools, particularly Excel, and comfort in managing large datasets.
Strong communication skills in both Danish and English are vital, enabling you to convey complex financial information clearly. The candidate should be structured and analytical, capable of managing multiple priorities and handling complex issues under deadlines.
Awaze seeks a positive, proactive, and persistent individual dedicated to finding optimal solutions that work in both the short and long term. A strategic mindset will enhance contributions to the team and help drive the organization's continued success.
Furthermore, we expect the following competencies:
- Determined and structured, with a strong interest in complex financial issues.
- Ability to work cross-functionally while effectively managing urgent tasks.
- Strong communicator who can simplify complex issues for clarity.
- Initiative and responsibility, with a willingness to challenge the status quo.
- Enjoyment of a dynamic and changeable environment.
- Given Awaze's international operations, it is important that you possess a global outlook and are interested in collaborating with international colleagues and stakeholders.
Awaze values close collaboration across the organization. You will thrive in working together towards common goals, igniting enthusiasm and excellence in task execution. You are adept at independently tackling challenges and proactively taking ownership of improvements, demonstrating a commitment to delivering professional service.
