Are you eager to take full ownership of the time schedule for cutting-edge EPCM projects, from initiation to completion and to ensure all milestones are met, while managing risks and driving efficiency? Join Topsoe as their new Senior Project Time Scheduler and help make a difference in sustainable energy.
The position
As a Senior Project Time Scheduler, you will take full ownership of a project’s time schedule from the initiation phase, including bidding and contract negotiation, through to project completion. This role spans both complex projects in the syngas/gas industry and internal investment projects aimed at expanding Topsoe’s catalyst production capacity and establishing new production facilities for upcoming products or pilot projects for new technologies.
In this role, you will create detailed project plans in collaboration with the relevant team members, building schedules that align with project requirements and deadlines. You will liaise regularly with both internal and external stakeholders, including project partners and clients, ensuring that all parties stay aligned on project timelines and expectations. A core part of your role will involve analyzing, planning, and setting requirements, as well as conducting technical risk assessments to keep each project moving forward efficiently.
Furthermore, you will help enforce health and safety protocols across all project stages, supporting a safe working environment that meets Topsoe’s standards. You will also work closely with their business units and commercial teams during EPCM contract negotiations to provide insights into time scheduling and help set achievable timelines that align with contract goals.
In the execution phase of EPCM projects, you will maintain, update, and regularly challenge the time schedule to keep it aligned with the project team’s progress. You will monitor and control the projects you oversee, continuously checking progress and addressing any scheduling issues. Additionally, you will actively contribute to risk and claim management, working with contracting parties to resolve any issues and ensure that project objectives are met.
The ideal candidate
The ideal candidate for the Senior Project Time Scheduler EPCM role at Topsoe will possess a strong technical background, ideally with a degree in engineering. With approximately 10 years of technical EPC project management experience within the oil & gas, syngas industry, power plants or related fields, the candidate should have a deep understanding of project management processes, strategies, and methods. Certification in PMI-SP, IPMA, or PSP would be advantageous. The successful candidate will demonstrate a strong ability to mitigate risks, proactively address challenges, and work effectively under pressure.
A keen eye for detail, a solution-oriented mindset, and excellent communication skills are essential for success in this role. Proficiency in MS Office, MS Project, Primavera, and SAP R3, along with advanced English language skills, will further enhance the candidate's suitability for the role. Additionally, the candidate should possess strong collaboration skills, the ability to communicate effectively with diverse teams, and a creative and analytical approach to problem-solving.
