  • Please note during the application the acronym CNR is referring to "Caldwell Night Rodeo"

    Rules of Qualification

    • Must be between the ages of 17-25 by August 1st of this calendar year.
    • Live within a 150-mile radius of Caldwell, Idaho.
    • Do NOT need to be a resident of the State of Idaho.
    • There must be a minimum of two (2) contestants in order to hold the Miss CNR Contest.
    • Must have competed in another rodeo queen contest prior to this one.
    • Contestants shall not have been disqualified or relinquished any queen titles. You may request a Queen Committee review.
    • Cannot hold another title or compete in another contest while reigning as Miss CNR. The only exception is representing CNR at the Miss Rodeo Idaho Contest if I am a resident of the State of Idaho.
    • Have never been married nor will I marry if I hold the title of Miss CNR.
    • Have not had any children and will relinquish the title if pregnant.
    • Contestants/Queen cannot be involved in a domestic partnership or similar intimate living relationship.
    • Contestants/Queen must be reliable and honest with good moral standards and integrity. They will conduct themselves in a professional manner, with a good attitude, at all times during and immediately following the contest as well as during their reign.
      • While identifiable as Miss CNR or a contestant for the title, will not be permitted to drink alcoholic beverages, use or possess illegal substances, paraphernalia, use of tobacco products or use inappropriate language or profanity.
      • She shall not become publicly intoxicated or associate with any person(s) in a manner that brings disrespect on her title or CNR.
      • She shall not participate in public displays of affection.
      • She must also conduct herself in a professional manner in regards to social media. Ex: Facebook, Instagram, X, Snapchat, Tik Tok, etc.
    • Contestant/Queen must not go into any kind of bar or lounge during the contest or reign unless for promotional work for CNR. Specifically the Queen may also not be wearing the CNR crown, buckle or banner.
    • Must be at every function on time where judging and promotion of CNR is required.
    • Contestants agree to abide by all rules, regulations, agreements and contracts set forth by the CNR Queen Committee. Breaking any eligibility rules, regulations agreements or contracts will disqualify a contestant from the competition and cause forfeit of any titles.
    • Must fulfill contract requirements and abide by all rules during my reign or I will relinquish all gifts, scholarships and privileges, as well as the title itself, given to me as Miss CNR.
    • Parents, relatives and friends - we welcome and encourage your presence during the contest. At no time during judging will you be allowed to disturb contestants or judges, or coaching contestants in doing so, the contestant they are supporting may be disqualified.
    • The CNR Queen Committee has the right to refuse any contestant's application. If a contestant is refused entry into the contest there will be no appeal process.
    • Any grievances should be referred in writing to the CNR Queen Chairman within 24 hours of a problem or incident. The CNR Queen Committee will have full authority over the contest and any decisions made regarding rules and/or participation is final and may not be appealed.

    Judges & Judging:

    • Nine (9) judges will be chosen by the CNR Queen Committee.
      • 3 x Horsemanship, 3 x Personality, 3 x Appearance.
    • Judges will not be approached before, during or after the contest by the contestants unless there is prior authorization by the Queen Chairman. Judges may approach the contestants on their own.
    • Score sheets will be picked up immediately after each judging and placed in an envelope, sealed and signed by CNR directors in the presence of the judges. The envelopes will then be given to an accounting firm for tabulation.
      • Contestants' scores will be made available on an individual basis by written request only.
    • The CNR Queen Committee will receive score sheets requests from contestants no sooner than 72 hours after the completion of the queen contest for review.
    • All judges' decisions are final.

    Livestock:

    • Contestants will not provide a stallion, stud horses or unmanageable horse for any part of the queen contest.
    • The horse used for the contest will be used for the year of the queen's reign.

    • One (1) clear 5x7, black and white photograph - uploaded
    • Two (2) clear 5x7, color photographs - uploaded
      • Printed copies of the 3 photographs will be delivered to the Caldwell Night Rodeo Queen Chairman at Orientation.
      • Pictures must be 3 different poses of head and shoulder view and must be in western clothing including a western hat. They must be suitable for newspaper production.

  • Miss Caldwell Night Rodeo Contestant Contract and Waiver of Liability

  • In consideration of being permitted to compete in the Miss Caldwell Night Rodeo contest, I, , hereby represent and agree as follows:

    1. I am a natural born, female citizen of the United States of America and reside within a 150-mile radius of the Caldwell city limits.
    2. I am, or will be, between the ages of 17-25 as of August 1 of this calendar year.
    3. I am a single woman, never married, divorced or entered into a marriage contract that was annulled. I am not presently, nor have I ever been pregnant. I further agree that if I am selected as Miss CNR, I will not be married or become pregnant during my reign as Miss CNR.
    4. I will abide by the laws of the jurisdiction I am in. I have never been convicted of a crime. I do not have pending criminal charges, or have adjuvated criminal sentences pending against her. I will disclose to the CNR Queen Committee my criminal history other than minor traffic violations.
    5. I am of good moral character and have no historical actions which could cause harm or damage to my reputation or to the good will and reputation of the Miss CNR title, CNR, its directors, officers and agents.
    6. I understand that selection as Miss CNR requires accumulation of the highest score from all nine (9) judges, as tallied by an independent accounting firm and ratified by CNR. I understand that the judges' selection is final and there is no appeal from the judges' final selection.
    7. I agree to indemnify and hold harmless CNR, its directors, officers and agents for and from all liability from any injury or illness incurred during, or as part of, the Miss CNR contest, other than for injury or illness caused by gross negligence or willful misconduct of Caldwell Night Rodeo or its agents.
    8. I understand and agree that the CNR Queen Committee reserves the right to render judgement on any situation not expressly covered by this agreement and the Miss CNR rules, or resulting from differing interpretation of the rules.
    9. If selected as Miss CNR, I understand that my signed contract will become effective Saturday night of the Caldwell Night Rodeo, immediately prior to the PRCA Pro Rodeo performance. The contract includes the following terms: During my term as Miss Caldwell Night Rodeo,
      1. I will not be married nor become pregnant.
      2. I will not be involved in a domestic partnership or similar intimate living relationship.
      3. I will represent CNR by participating in activies such as, but not limited to, making community and/or public appearances and visiting rodeos, both local or those involving travel, as are deemed in the best economic interest of CNR.
      4. I will be required to submit a monthly report to the CNR Queen Chairman of my previous or upcoming activities for CNR.
      5. I will be responsible to send thank you cards.
      6. I will be obligated to participate in CNR activites and carryout such other tasks as are requested by CNR Queen Committee. I understand that the CNR Queen Chairman will act as an agent for bookings and calendaring all such events. As Miss CNR, I agree to make myself available for such appearances, interviews, endorsements, testimonials, filming, taping, photographic and recording sessions and such other events as to be determined by CNR. Payment and/or reimbursement for expenses associated with such appearances will be set forth more specifically in the Miss CNR Contract.
      7. I also understand that for any activity not directed by the CNR Board and/or Queen Chairman, I, as Miss CNR, must request permission in extended advance of such activity.
      8. I agree that I will be on time, courteous and properly attired, to include the use of the crown, banner, buckle and boots for any and all public appearances, unless prior approval by the CNR Queen Chairman.
      9. I will provide the CNR Queen Chairman with travel receipts on a monthly basis for reimbursement up to the amount of $1,500 annually.
      10. I will provide CNR with proof of insurance for my vehicle and trailer. I understand that I must maintain current Coggins, Health Certificate and Brand Inspection for my horse.
    10. Should any legal action be brought under this agreement, I understand and agree that any such action may be brought only in the Third Judicial District Court or a court of competent jurisdiction in Canyon County, Idaho, that Idaho law shall govern any such dispute, and that the prevailing party will be entitled to attorney's fees and costs.
    11. I hereby grant permission to the CNR Queen Committee to verify any information gained contained on my application.
    12. I hereby release claim and rights to photographs and/or public relations materials involving me to the CNR for use in contest and rodeo promotion.
    13. If I fail to disclose any of the information requested by CNR, or if I provide false or inaccurate information, I will automatically be disqualified from participating in the Miss CNR contest, either as a contestant or as Miss CNR, should I will the title. Scholarships or prizes of any, which I may receive will be returned to CNR. CNR will be released from any and all liability resulting in my actions.
    14. In the event I receive the Miss CNR title, I will complete the tenure of my title in accordance with the Miss CNR contract, regulations and in the best interest of the Miss CNR program and CNR; and will relinquish all claims and accouterments (crown, chaps, etc.) relating to the title upon the naming of my successor.

     By my signature on this application, I hereby certify that I have read the accompanying official Miss Caldwell Night Rodeo contest rules, regulations, contestant contract and fulfilled the application to the best of my ability. I have read and understand the foregoing terms, and agree to abide by the terms of this application. I acknowledge that these regulations will prevail throughout all Miss CNR contest and reign and CNR programs, activities and functions; and that said regulations pertain to all persons related to my appearance in the contest and Caldwell Night Rodeo.  I further understand that I may be disqualified from the Miss Caldwell Night Rodeo contest if I fail or refuse to abide by this agreement and the Miss Caldwell Night Rodeo contest rules.
