Application for Nominating Committee

Application Deadline: March 31

Members who serve on the CHIA Nominating Committee identify and select CHIA members who are willing to submit their names for consideration on the CHIA Ballot (Elected Leadership) and serve as a Director or AHIMA Delegate on the CHIA Board of Directors.

Here is a list of criteria being used for Board consideration:

Minimum Requirements

Served at least two (2) years as a volunteer for CHIA (at component or state level) or AHIMA.
Familiarity with HI professionals throughout the state
Proven leadership and governance experience
Member of CHIA (Upgraded AHIMA member)

Recommended Attributes

Adheres to the Core Competencies for Volunteers – value ethics, integrity, collaboration, diversity, and professionalism.
Team leader and player
Effective communication and listening skills
Sound judgement and decisiveness as well as adaptability in decision making
Critical thinker

Additional preferred qualifications

Served another organization’s national or state Board of Directors
Familiarity with CHIA’s strategic initiatives

Other requirements

Nominee must list all volunteer experience with CHIA and/or AHIMA on his/her resume/CV so that the CHIA Board of Directors is able to evaluate the candidate's experience.
