Terms and Conditions – Canine Skills Instructors
Please ensure you have read and understood the Terms and Conditions prior to submitting a booking form.
- By completing a booking form, you are agreeing to have read, understood and accepted our terms and conditions and will adhere to them.
- We use reward-based training therefore any harsh or abusive handling or aversive equipment (choke chains, prong collars, electric collars etc) is not permitted in line with our governing associations. Please feel free to discuss any suitable equipment in advance.
Group Classes and Workshops
The full payment for the group class course is required by or at the first week of the course to secure a place on the remainder of the course.
Classes and Workshops are held outdoors so appropriate footwear and clothing is advised. Classes and Workshops continue regardless of the weather unless it is unsafe to do so.
- If we have to postpone a class or workshop due to the weather being unsafe, we will contact you with as much notice as possible. Classes will then run until the duration of the course has been completed. Workshops will be rescheduled to an alternative date. We cannot be responsible for any losses or expenses arising from amendments to the classes or workshop.
- No refund is able to be given for any missed group classes or workshop. However, if a workshop date has been rearranged by us to an inconvenient date, alternative options can be offered if informed at the time of rearrangement.
- We welcome all family members to attend but we ask that children do not to approach other dogs in the class or workshop and aren’t a distraction. If any of the dogs are worried by their presence, we may ask for them to remain at a safe distance or for alternative arrangements to be made.
- All dogs in group classes and workshops must be comfortable around other dogs and people. If your dog struggles in a group environment with other dogs and people, we can offer other alternatives to help with their training.
- Dogs must be kept on lead at all times unless otherwise directed by your trainer.
- Some dogs (and people) need space so please be respectful of this and do not allow your dog to approach other dogs unless instructed to do so as part of the session. If your dog is barking or pulling to get to another dog, please increase the distance between you and them.
- Please clean up after your dog if they go for a number two!
- Your dog must be fit and healthy to attend training so further ill health is not caused. If your dog is unwell with an infectious disease, please do not attend the class or workshop as it could put the other dogs at risk. If in any doubt, contact your vet.
- If your dog is in season, please check first before bringing them to a class or workshop as it may be disruptive for other dogs in the group.
- Vehicles are parked at their owner’s risk. We do not accept responsibility for theft or damage to cars or property whilst at the venue.
- Any equipment is designed for dog use only and should not be used unless directed by the trainer. We do not accept any responsibility for loss or damages that may occur when equipment is in use.
- In the unlikely event of an emergency or severe illness, sessions may be cancelled by Canine Skills Instructors in which case replacement dates will be offered. If a reschedule is not a possibility, a refund amount will be issued.
- A full refund of the deposit or entire payment can only be issued if rescheduling isn't available and the cancellation is made in writing 14 days prior to the start date of the booked session, course or workshop. Part or full refunds thereafter will be at the discretion of Canine Skills Instructors with no refunds if a cancellation is made with 48 hour's or less notice, unless under exceptional circumstances and again at the discretion of Canine Skills Instructors.
