WHAT ARE MOBILE CHIPPING EVENTS?
This spring and summer, the Central Saanich FireSmart Program will operate a free mobile chipper and crew on select dates in designated zones with potential for high wildfire risk.
- Know your zone: Enter your address on our interactive map or receive a door hanger from the Fire Department to confirm you are eligible.
- Register below: Eligible residents must register in advance for chipping. See the list below for acceptable material.
- Place materials early: The crew will chip woody debris and remove it from properties—this work may take more than one day, but material must be placed curbside by 7 am on Monday.
