GUIDELINES
1. Each nominee can nominate for a maximum of 3 categories.

3. Awards will be judged by esteemed industry experts based on nominations received.
4. Each nomination form is valid for 1 entry only. If you are nominating for several categories, please enter each entry separately.
ELIGIBILITY:
Nominations are open to a diverse range of entities engaged in waste management activities across Asia, including waste management companies, private companies, government-owned enterprises (GOEs), public-private partnerships (PPPs), startups, and academic and research institutions.
For the Overall Performance Categories, companies can submit an entry based on their achievements in waste management over the past year (2023). This includes leadership in circular economy principles, public awareness efforts, innovative solutions, sustainability practices, and overall excellence in waste management.
For Initiative / Project-Focused and Operational / Internal-Focused Categories, Companies can nominate projects or initiatives completed within the past year (2023). Companies may also nominate projects or initiatives completed and launched prior to 2023 but have had recent innovations for further improvement. Nominations can include a wide range of efforts aimed at addressing specific waste management challenges, promoting sustainability, and driving positive environmental impacts. Examples include innovative waste reduction programs, recycling initiatives, technology implementations, employee engagement campaigns, and customer service enhancements.
JUDGING CRITERIA
1. For entries that will be entered for the Overall Performance Categories:
Achievements
a. What significant achievements has the entity made in waste management, sustainability, and environmental improvement?
b. How has the entity positively influenced waste management practices, including waste reduction, recycling, and innovative approaches?
c. Can the entity demonstrate tangible outcomes benefiting social and environmental well-being?
Challenges & Solutions
a. How effectively has the entity understood waste management challenges?
b. What creative strategies has the entity used to overcome challenges?
c. How has the entity adapted to changing circumstances in waste management?
Innovation
a. What notable technological innovations has the entity introduced?
b. How has the entity innovated its business model to support sustainable waste management?
c. Can the entity demonstrate partnerships driving innovation in waste management?
2. For entries that will be entered for the Project-Focused and Operational / Internal-Focused Categories:
- Uniqueness & Innovation - Has the project introduced new or cutting-edge innovation?
- Effectiveness & Impact - Did the project/product/service achieve its objectives and targets? What measures have been used to assess its success? What was the impact to your company and industry?
- Dynamism - Is the strategy, project, service or product flexible to changes and progressive opportunities?
