• Marriage Preparation Course - 2026

  • Our annual Marriage Preparation Course (MPC) is thoughtfully designed for couples who are planning to have their marriage solemnised or blessed by CMC pastors. The course comprises eight sessions and features a hybrid learning format led by our pastor and a dedicated team of marriage mentors.

    Key topics covered include: Myths of Marriage, Developing Habits of Happiness, Communication, Gender Differences, Financial Management, Conflict Resolution, and Spiritual Intimacy.

    Important Information:

    1. As we pair each couple with a marriage mentor, prority will be given to couples planning to wed from Q4 2026 onward. If your wedding date is earlier than Q4 2026 and you have already completed an external MPC, this course may not be the suitable for you. 
    2. You will be informed of the status of your application, payment info & instructions of the course within one week after the closing date on 30th Nov 2025. 
    3. Every couple will be required to complete an online Prepare-Enrich relationship assessment. This tool helps couples gain deeper insight into their relationship dynamics and individual personalities.
    4. When one or both parties are members of another church, written permission from the church you attending should be obtained and forward to: flm@cmc.org.sg

    • 2026 Jan 31, Feb 7, 14, 28, Mar 7, 14, 21, 28 (Saturdays)
    • Time: 12:45 PM - 4 PM

    Cost:

    • $130.00 per couple for CMC member applicant (if any one party is from CMC) and $180.00 per couple for non-CMC member. 
    • Full payment of the applicable fees is required upon successful acceptance of your application. Your seat will only be confirmed once payment has been received. Please note that all fees are non-refundable.

    Information for CMC members planning for a Church Wedding:

    1. Couples should NOT finalise a wedding date until they have met with their solemnising Pastor upon completion of the MPC. 
    2. The proposed wedding date should be at least six months after the MPC ends.(Please discuss with your pastor if the date has been finalised)
    3. It is your responsibility to file notice of your wedding at least 25 days before the actual wedding date with the Registry of Marriages.
    4. It is your responsibility to make arrangements and secure a venue for your wedding.
    5. When one or both parties attend Christ Methodist Church and are not baptized yet, the relevant party / parties should seek to be baptized if they intend to hold their wedding in CMC.
