The Perris Citizens Academy is designed to educate and inform community members about local government operations, department functions, and city leadership.
The 5-week program consists of 1 session per week, 5 sessions total. Following the schedule below:
- Thursday, April 2, 2026: 6:00pm - 8:00pm
- Session 1: At the Center of it All
- Thursday, April 9, 2026: 6:00pm - 8:00pm
- Session 2: A Growing Thriving Perris
- Thursday, April 16, 2026: 6:00pm - 8:00pm
- Session 3: Protecting Today, Preparing for Tomorrow
- Thursday, April 23, 2026: 4:00pm - 6:30pm
- Session 4: Building Community Through Connection
- Tuesday, April 28, 2026: 4:00pm - 7:00pm
- Session 5: Civic Engagement - followed by a city walking tour, certificate of completion, and City Council recognition.
Participants must attend all five (5) sessions in order to receive certificate of Academy completion and City Council recognition.
Applicants must be at least 18 years of age and reside in the City of Perris.
