Agility Foundations Class

Dogs will be introduced to the agility equipment except for contacts.  They will learn to safely perform obstacles and students will learn beginning handling skills.  These skills will allow them to direct their dogs through a sequence of obstacles.

Prerequisites

Dogs MUST be at least one (1) year old and have passed the CGC test.  If they have not yet passed that test, that class is offered on Monday nights and you can register for it here:

Dogs attending this class need to be on a Flat Buckle Collar ONLY.  No prong, choke or martingale collars are allowed.  Dogs must also be able to work off-leash in a distracting and sometimes noisy environment with other dogs that will also be working off-leash at the same time.  Agility is an off-leash sport!

 Instructor
Deborah Lannigan is the instructor for this class.  She competes in AKC Agility with her Border Collies at the Master Level.  Several of her students have started competing in AKC Agility earning qualifying legs and titles and are doing well in the competition environment.

Class Requirements

Proof of vaccines must be emailed to ClarksvilleKennelClub@gmail.com prior to the first night of class.

Class Location, Dates & Times

Classes are held at the Clarksville Kennel Club's Training Building - 114 Kraft Street, Bldg. D, Clarksville, TN

This is a 6-Class course and will meet on Sundays from 3:00-4:30pm

The first class will be on Sunday, June 14th.  As the instructor currently competes and most trials are on the weekends, classes may skip some Sundays.  Those dates will be announced ahead of time.  The class will meet a total of 6 times.  The "tentative" schedule is:  June 14, June 28, July 5, July 19, August 9, August 16.

If the class shows as "Sold Out" below, please submit your email address to be added to the waitlist and notified of the next class.

All classes provided by the Clarksville Kennel Club are NOT for aggresive dogs.  A dog showing aggression, and/or that is uncontrollable, will be immediately excused for the remainder of the class session for the safety of others.  No refund for remaining classes will be given.

Payment is due to complete your registration.  Payment will be made through PayPal by clicking the link at the bottom of the registration form.
