  • Memberships & Licensing

    Before you can hit the track, all riders must have a UCI License from Alberta Bicycle Association and Cochrane BMX Membership. There are two memberships available at Cochrane BMX that pair with license options from the ABA. Choose between a "General" Membership and a "Racing" Membership. If you have any questions, contact us before you register!

    • COCHRANE BMX "GENERAL" MEMBERSHIP:

      Club Registration Fee for 2026 "General" Membership is $130.

      A General Membership is a practice only or recreational membership. This is for a rider who ONLY plans to participate in Open Track and Club Coaching at Cochrane BMX and does NOT plan to race, ride at any other track in 2026. 

      This membership is perfect for new riders, or parents and siblings who want to casually ride without the pressure of racing. 

      You are still required to purchase a License from Alberta Bicycle Association ("ABA") in order to be covered under our liability insurance. The ABA License for a General Membership is:

      • The "Community Membership" ($43/U17, $53/17+ plus GST) - Open Track, Club Coaching, NO racing.

      The General membership and ABA license combo can be upgraded at any time during the present season to the "Racing" membership with Cochrane BMX and the "UCI Race License" with ABA (upgrade fees for each will apply).

    • COCHRANE BMX "RACING" MEMBERSHIP:

      Club Registration Fee for 2026 "Racing" Membership is $150.

      This membership is for riders who want to participate in ALL events at Cochrane BMX and provide wide. For clarity, this includes all Open Track Sessions, Club Coaching, mid-week District Racing and ride/race at all other BMX tracks in Alberta.

      You are required to purchase a License from Alberta Bicycle Association ("ABA") in order to be covered under our liability insurance. The ABA License option for a Racing membership is:

      • The "UCI Race License" (Youth born 2010-2021 $145, Senior born before 2009 $153, plus GST) - Open Track, Club Coaching, mid-week District Races, Alberta Cup Series, Cycling Canada (Canada Cup / Nationals), any and all other UCI events, and earn category upgrade points. 

      This is the membership to go with your UCI Race license you need to race anywhere that requires a UCI license, including ALL tracks in Alberta and any other UCI sanctioned BMX track/event.

  • Volunteering at Cochrane BMX

    Volunteer commitment is part of your CBMX Membership. Requirements and payment options have changed this year. We are hosting a Provincial / Canada Cup on August 8-9, 2026, and will have a Casino in the fall/winter. In addition to regular weekly volunteering, 2026 requirements include ONE (1) Provincial Shift and ONE (1) Casino shift. Please read and accept the terms. After you register, you will be prompted to complete or update your Volunteer Profile.

  • Raffle Donation - New for 2026!

    Each family is required to contribute a $50 donation toward the Provincial Raffle Table. This raffle is our largest fundraiser of the weekend and requires significant effort to source prizes. Your contribution helps ensure we can offer great raffle items without last-minute scrambling for donations. As a thank you, families who complete their casino shift will receive a $50 credit toward their 2027 membership fees.

    At Cochrane BMX, we foster a positive, fun, and respectful environment for all. Athletes, parents, spectators, and volunteers must adhere to the Code of Conduct and the principles of True Sport and Fair Play.

  • COCHRANE & DISTRICT AGRICULTURAL SOCIETY RELEASE, WAIVER OF CLAIM & ASSUMPTION OF RISK

    Our track is located on land owned by CDAS. All riders are required to complete the CDAS waiver before riding. Our liability insurance is covered by your ABA License.
