ABOUT THE WORKSHOP: Join us for a fun evening of sewing and crafting leather journals with local artisan Amanda Stokes of My Leather Legacy! Amanda has been binding books for more than a decade, and she began teaching journal workshops in 2016 to share her love of bookmaking with the community. In this Craft Lake City workshop, Stokes will teach attendees how to fold, punch, and long stitch acid-free paper into pre-punched genuine leather covers. Participants will choose between blank, lined or bullet journal paper, and will carefully tear the edges of all 192 pages for a deckled-style edge. Stokes maintains an uncompromising commitment to quality in her workshop materials, and she will provide three options of leather colors and matching scrapbook paper to help attendees customize their reusable and refillable 4.5”x7" journals.
SUPPLY KIT: The price of the workshop includes a supply kit, available for pickup on Tuesday, May 18 between 2 p.m.- 6 p.m. at the Craft Lake City office. Supply kit delivery is not available.
