    We are launching a pilot digital exchange program connecting Francophone students with those in Dogon Country, Mali through collaborative, student-driven projects.

    Program goals:

    • Foster meaningful cross-cultural relationships
    • Support student-led inquiry and collaboration
    • Build communication, collaboration, leadership, and inter-cultural competence skills 
    • Engage students in real-world, community-connected projects

    Timeline & Pilot Nature:

    • Facilitator preparation: anticipated late 2026
    • Student participation: anticipated early 2027
    • Timeline dependent on grant funding and infrastructure setup in Mali

    Program may be delayed by up to one year

    We are seeking partner schools willing to:

    • Commit to a one-year pilot
    • Consider longer-term collaboration (up to 3 years)

    No prior experience with intercultural or student-led programming is required.

    As part of our grant funding, we need to assess growth in our target areas - inter-cultural and collaborative skills/mindsets. This will take the form of short pre- and post-program assessments administered to participants (students and possibly teachers/facilitators as well).
