Dade County Alumnae Chapter (DCAC) 2026 College Scholarship Application

Application Deadline Extended to April 3, 2026
- The following requirements must be met to be considered for all scholarships.
  - Be a female of African-American descent graduating from a high school located in Miami-Dade County.
  - Have a GPA of at least 3.0 unweighted on the OFFICIAL transcript submitted at the time of application. The OFFICIAL transcript must be uploaded with the application as a PDF. The OFFICIAL transcript must include grades from the second nine weeks of your senior year and the registrar's seal and signature. Credit histories will NOT be accepted.
  - Please upload two (2) letters of recommendation preferably on the organization's official letterhead, each with an original pen/ink signature (computer-generated signatures will not be accepted). One letter must come from school personnel (teacher, counselor, CAP advisor, etc.) and the other from a church leader or a community leader. Both letters must include the writer's email address or mailing address, and a phone number.
  - Upload a 4x6 professional photograph (HEADSHOT ONLY) that is clear and could be used for publication (a senior or graduation photo is preferred). No selfies or full body photos are permitted. Background must be a solid color. See the example below of an acceptable headshot.
  - Upload ONE completed 200 -250 word typed essay.
  - Provide proof of enrollment as a full-time student at an accredited college or university before the scholarship funds are issued in the fall. The deadline for submission of proof of enrollment is October 12, 2026
  - Utilize the scholarship within one year of the notification of award or it will be forfeited. (Please note: If extenuating circumstances occur, the Dade County Alumnae Chapter must be contacted in writing immediately, but no later than one year after the notification of award. The Chapter will make the final decision regarding all awards.)

- APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS:
  Congratulations on your senior year and your many accomplishments throughout high school. As you apply for the Dade County Alumnae Chapter's scholarship application, we strongly recommend that you request your official transcript immediately. Your transcript must be uploaded with your application and submitted by Friday, April 3, 2026. No application will be considered without receipt of your uploaded official transcript.
