For the first time since 2018, the (DE-FI) Model Incubator is back! And (DE-FI) Global INC is hosting a combined open casting call for both the incubator and Dayton Fashion Week 2025.
What’s the Difference?
Models auditioning for the (DE-FI) Model Incubator must be unsigned.
This program is designed for models who want real development, mentorship, and the tools to pursue long-term careers in fashion.
Models auditioning for Dayton Fashion Week may be signed or unsigned.
You do not have to join the incubator to participate in Dayton Fashion Week but attendance at this casting is required to be considered for either opportunity.
This is the ONLY open call. No virtual submissions will be accepted.
What is the (DE-FI) Model Incubator?
This isn’t about hype, it’s about building the foundation. Through a monthly experience, models will receive:
• Workshops on self-worth, wellness, contract education, human trafficking awareness, marketing, and industry law
• Professional photoshoots, agency visits, and behind-the-scenes business prep
• Ongoing mentorship, industry exposure, and career planning
(DE-FI) Models have gone on to work with Versace, Michael Kors, When Smoke Clears, and St. Jesus, appearing in national campaigns, films, and more.
Casting Day Requirements:
To ensure a professional and consistent review process, all models must:
• Wear solid-colored, form-fitting attire (no prints or logos)
• No makeup or jewelry
• Hair must be pulled back into a ponytail (if long enough)
• Be prepared to walk
• Submit a headshot and full-body image (A professional portfolio is NOT required. Images can be taken on a cell phone, but should be clear and unfiltered)
• Must be at least 12 years old. Models under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian
Why Now?
At A Weekend of (DE-FI)ance in March 2025, our cover model shoot turned heads...literally. Top agents from New York took notice, and a major scouting visit may be headed to Dayton soon.
(DE-FI) has a proven reputation for producing prepared, business-minded models that agencies trust. Before the pandemic, our incubator consistently led to scoutings, callbacks, and signings...and now, we’re bringing that legacy forward to a new generation.

The (DE-FI) Model Incubator is not about runway glamor; it’s about building a career. This program is designed for unsigned models who are serious about pursuing long-term opportunities in the fashion industry. Through industry-led workshops, real-world development, and agency visits, we prepare you for what comes before the runway.
This incubator is not for models currently signed to an agency. The tools, training, and mentorship offered here are services that your agent should already be providing. If you're signed, please speak directly with your agent about these opportunities and how they can support your career.

This opportunity is for aspiring models who are not signed, are serious about their career, and are looking to gain real industry knowledge and experience with the goal of getting signed.
No Fees. No Filters. Just the Work.
There are no costs or fees to participate in the (DE-FI) Model Incubator. This program is about mutual investment, we dedicate 40 hours to developing you as a model, and in return, we ask that you give back 40 hours of community service through (DE-FI)-led outreach in your local area.
There are no height or size requirements to participate. We celebrate beauty in all forms, and welcome models of all ethnicities, body types, and backgrounds. You must be at least 12 years old, and if under 18, a parent or legal guardian must attend all sessions with you.
That said, many of the agencies we visit during the incubator do have strict height requirements to be considered for representation. While that may limit some agency visits, we’ll guide you toward the agencies and opportunities that are the right fit for your look and goals.
All accepted models will receive a Model Agreement outlining expectations for both you and (DE-FI). You will have two full weeks to review the agreement, ask questions, and request revisions...no pressure, just transparency. The agreement must be signed by the specified deadline to confirm your participation.
You may also have the opportunity to earn money through optional ticket sales for (DE-FI) experiences and sponsorship outreach, receiving 20–50% of any direct sales you generate.
This incubator is about preparation, professionalism, and purpose. Fashion is a business, not entertainment, and we’re here to help you treat it that way from day one.
