We’re always on the lookout for fresh faces and fierce energy. Submit your application below along with two recent photos: one clear headshot and one full-body image. Your images do not need to be professional; cellphone photos are perfectly fine. Seriously, don’t go spending money on photoshoots, we’re not about that.

There are no restrictions on age, race, ethnicity, height, size, or gender; we celebrate beauty in every form. All submissions are added to our model database, which our designers access when casting for upcoming shows. If selected, you’ll receive a direct invitation to attend a designer’s exclusive casting call.

Based in Southwest Ohio, our fashion incubators are built to meet talent where they are. Whether you're just getting started or have made a few pieces and want to grow, we’re here to help you learn, build, and launch with guidance every step of the way.

We currently offer two in-person incubator locations:

Dayton Fashion Week Design Incubator (Dayton, OH)

Cincinnati Fashion Incubator (Cincinnati, OH)

Please note: These are in-person programs. We do not offer virtual participation at this time. If you're already an established designer producing full collections and selling consistently, this program may not be the best fit but we’d still love to connect and support your next steps through resources, collaborations, and connections.

(DE-FI)ance Magazine Submission Guidelines

(DE-FI)ance Magazine offers publishing opportunities for both incubator and non-incubator talent. Published work is seen by designers, models, photographers, and other creatives nationwide—many of whom have landed jobs, agency contracts, and major features after being showcased in our pages.

Please read carefully before submitting.

General Information

We accept fashion, beauty, and written submissions.

No experience required, but quality and originality matter.

All submissions are subject to approval based on quality, relevance, theme fit, and available space.

We do not pay for submissions or provide free print copies. All expenses are the responsibility of the submitting team.

We accept unpublished editorials only. Work must be exclusive to (DE-FI)ance.

If accepted, work must not appear online or in any other publication until the issue is released.

Submission Requirements

Images:

Submit 1–3 low-res images for review (JPEG only).

Do not send high-res files, zip folders, or watermarked images.

If accepted, final images must be 8.5x11" (portrait) at 300dpi.

We primarily use portrait orientation—minimize landscape formats.

No single-look submissions; all editorials must feature 2–3 different looks.

Team & Credits:

Include full team credits (photographer, stylist, MUA, hair, model, etc.) in a Word or text file.

Fashion submissions must include wardrobe credits featuring emerging or indie brands only.

Include model’s name and agency, if applicable.

You are responsible for providing accurate and complete credits.

Permission & Exclusivity:

If you are not the photographer, include a signed release from the image owner.

By submitting, you grant (DE-FI) Global Inc. rights to use the content across all platforms (digital, print, marketing, social, etc.).

If work is published elsewhere or shared online before the magazine release, your feature will be removed.

Digital Submissions (Featured Image of the Day)

Submit 1–3 horizontal images (2000px wide, 2:1 ratio, no borders/watermarks).

Send in JPEG format only with editable team and clothing credits.

Files should be named clearly (e.g., JaneDoeLook1.jpg).

Rolling submissions; selected images appear quarterly on our platforms.

Rejection Reasons (We Will Not Notify You):

Late submission or incomplete materials
