Coach Guidelines & Requirements
As a DHNS Youth soccer coach-mentor, you will be required to attend a meeting and complete an online training prior to coaching. Coach-mentors are expected to abide by rules, codes of conduct and expectations set forth by DHNS Youth Association, FWISD and any other partnering or governing organization.
DHNS Youth Association is seeking youth soccer coach-mentors for the winter developmental season (November 17 - December 15). There is a small cash stipend of $200 that will issued to coach-mentors upon completion of the season. In addition, we will record and sign off on any community service hour requirements.
Please be prepared to meet the following requirements:
Coaches are expected to lead their own practice drills. A ball and cones can be provided. Youth will be required to bring their own soccer ball to practice. Game balls will be provided.
Coaches will be required to complete an online training by US Soccer Foundation. Coaches are required to attend a brief coach meeting before the first game to go over rules.
Coaches are expected to arrive at least 15 minutes before practice and game time each week. Games are 45 minutes.
Coaches must be available on these dates:
Practice Dates: 11/17 and 11/24 with practice time either 6:30pm or 7:30pm depending on age division.
Game Days: 12/1, 12/8 and 12/15 with game times either 6:30pm or 7:30pm depending on age division.
