    • Archaeology Access 
    • Virginia's archaeological data is sensitive and protected under the Code of Virginia §2.2-3705.7 (10), the National Historic Preservation Act 54 U.S.C. § 307103(a), and/or the Archaeological Resources Protection Act 6 U.S.C. §§ 470hh(a). DHR limits access to detailed archaeological data accordingly. DHR screens resumes or CVs for qualified individuals. Qualified individuals are responsible for ensuring that sensitive archaeological data is not misused or inappropriately distributed by any authorized VCRIS users in their organization.

      Due to the sensitivity of archaeological data, we are unable to provide your organization with detailed statewide information including archaeology. However, we're committed to helping you find the information that you need. Contact DHR archives with any questions you may have.

      $175 for 30 days or $575 for one year. You are/your organization is qualified for VCRIS and may register for an AH (architecture) Editor/Viewer license or a Data Entry Only license.

      $250 for 30 days or $800 for one year. The VCRIS Accounts Manager will review your request for access to archaeological data and be back in touch within 3 business days with further registration details.
