Welcome to the sign up form for the 2025 Contractor Burn Class.  This class is designed for contractors who undertake frequent burn projects and can safely complete a burn of a size and scope similar to the one pictured below.  Taking and passing the class will give you the ability to apply for large-scale burn permits online, often waving the site inspection requirement. The purpose of the class is to familiarize you with the rules and regulations that govern large-scale burning in the Matsu and prevent destructive human caused wildfires.  Classes will be held each year around the end of March at Mat-Su Area Forestry located at 101 Airport Road, Palmer AK, 99645.  Please fill out this form for each person who will be taking the class, so we can keep track of who will be in attendence.

Please pick a date from the dates below.  As a reminder, any contractor large-scale burn must have at least one person who has gone through the Burn Class in attendence at all times while actively burning.  This person should be the one taking responsibility for the burn being done in a safe and legal manner.  If these dates fill up, we will look at putting on more classes in April.
