2026 College Scholarship Application

SCHOLARSHIP ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:
Must have academic eligibility in one of the 3 following categories:
- High school senior graduating from a school within Jones, Macon-Bibb, Monroe, Twiggs or Wilkinson Counties
- GED recipient whose permanent address is within Jones, Macon-Bibb, Monroe, Twiggs or Wilkinson Counties
- College student attending an accredited post-secondary institution and whose permanent address is within Jones, Macon-Bibb, Monroe, Twiggs, or Wilkinson Counties
GPA of 2.75 or greater on a 4.0 scale
Children of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority members are not eligible to apply: however, other relatives who are not immediate family of Sorority members may apply. (Reference: 2016 Regional Conference/Chapter President)
1. APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS:
- All applicants must submit two signed letters of recommendation. These recommendations can come from a teacher, administrator, counselor, minister, employer, community leader, or similar. Please note that at least one letter must be from a teacher, counselor, or administrator. For further details, see the instructions below for references.
- All applicants must complete, sign, and date the application form (place N/A where not applicable).
- All applicants must upload a typed essay. For further details, see the instructions below for the essay.
- Selected applicants are required to participate in a panel interview by the end of March 2026. Photo identification must be provided before the interview; please upload a senior picture or a non-selfie photo when prompted.
- A Parent or Guardian must sign the Scholarship Funds Disbursement Disclaimer. Please note: Awards are intended for educational purposes only, and funds will not be distributed until the winners return the Student Enrollment Verification Form in Fall 2026. The funds will be issued in the name of the student and mailed to the address provided on the scholarship application.
2. Completed applications will be reviewed by the Scholarship Committee. Top applicants will be invited for interviews by March 2026. All scholarship recipients will be notified by May 2026.
3. Scholarship funds will not be disbursed until Fall Semester 2026 when the Scholarship Committee has
received all required documents via email or mail.
4. Scholarship awards must be claimed within two years from the date of the award, or they will be forfeited.
5. The completed application, essay response, and photo identification must be uploaded through the online application portal. Please follow the instructions below to submit two letters of recommendation and the official transcript. All documents must be timestamped on or before Saturday, January 31, 2026. (NO EXCEPTIONS).
