General Information and Terms

I understand that by completing this form I am enrolling my child for extra lessons or Homework Club at Discoveringme (Pty) Ltd Tutor Centre in Eldoraigne, Centurion

2026 Fees for monthly extra lessons:

• 1 lesson per week R650 per month
• 2 lessons per week R1200 per month
• 3 lessons per week R1700 per month
• Workbook fees R65 per book as part of initial invoice
• Fees payable monthly in advance 

2026 Fees for Homework Club:

• 2 x 1.5hour sessions per week - R2500 per term
• Payable once-off in advance or divided into 2 equal amounts of R1250 each, with first payment before lessons commence and final payment made before the 1st day of the last month of the term
• Sessions take place: Mondays and Thursdays 16.00-17.30

1. The safety and well-being of your child is of utmost importance to us, and we undertake to care for your child to the best of our ability, however not Discoveringme, nor the tutors, nor any other person connected to Discoveringme will be held responsible for any loss, injury, mishap or illness which may occur on the premises or during lesson times. The parents/guardians hereby undertake to release the centre and its staff from any liability or claim arising from any such injuries or accidents, and waives any claim which may arise as aforesaid.

2. Extra lessons (point 2 - 11): January lessons will be billed pro-rata depending on the number of weeks when school term 1 commences. We have a ‘no pay, no teach’ policy. Lessons missed are not carried forward to the following month: the onus is on you to arrange a ‘catch-up’. We grant a 50% discount on lesson fees for the birth-month of the learner.

3. We are closed for the month of July, and we will close at end November and re-open the week that the school term 1 commences in January each year. There will be no invoice raised for months we are closed. We are open during March/April and September/October school holidays and if the learner does not attend lessons during school holidays, the onus is on you to arrange a ‘catch-up’. Payments cannot be retracted when a student does not attend lessons during school holidays.  There are no lessons on national public holidays.

4. Extra lesson workbooks are billed separately.  These are offered at a greatly discounted price to Discoveringme Tutor Centre students. Workbooks usually last 4-5 months, then need to be replaced. You will be informed when new books are required.

5. Your child will follow the Discoveringme or alternative Programme, where relevant. Our curriculum is well aligned with public and private schools. We do not do homework or work your child brings from school. 

6. Lessons start and end promptly.  Extra lessons are one hour long. Don’t be late as your child will miss part of the lesson.  Please fetch your child promptly when the lesson ends as we do not have child-minding facilities.

7. Try not to miss a lesson.  We can do a great deal in one hour per week – providing that the lessons are attended regularly.  Speaking from experience, as soon as a child starts ‘hitting one, missing one’, they tend to stop making progress. Have the courtesy to let us know prior to the lesson if your child will be absent.

8. Lessons are handled in group format, maximum of 5 learners per group. Your child will receive individual attention for part of the lesson. 

9. We do not discriminate against any other religion, but adhere to Christian principles.

10. To end lessons, a 30-day notice period is required, whereafter the final invoice will be send out to ensure the account is settled in full before the lessons end.

11. We encourage you to place your trust in both our team and the Tutor Centre Programme. The programmes offered by Discoveringme (Pty) Ltd are effective, but they require time and consistency to deliver lasting results. We ask for your patience as progress unfolds. There will come a point when both you and we feel confident in your child’s ability to cope independently—at that stage, the choice to continue will be entirely yours.

13. Homework Club (point 1, 9, 13-20): This service is only available for grade 1-5 learners. Placement is confirmed only once payment has been received. Failure to pay on time may result in suspension of attendance until payment is received.

14. Sessions are held 2 days per week for 1.5hours per ssession. Learners are expected to arrive on time and attend regularly. If a learner is absent, the parent should notify the tutor centre in advance where possible. 

15. Missed session due to absence are not refundable and cannot be carried over. Discoveringme reserves the right to cancel or reschedule session if necessary.

16. Tutors will assist and guide learners with homework, but completion of all homework cannot always be gauranteed. Learners are expected to bring all necessary books, homework diaries and reading materials.

17. Learners are expected to behave respectfully toward tutors and other learners. Disruptive or inappropriate behaviour may result in a warning to parents. Continued behavioural issues may lead to removal from the homework club if necessary.

18. Parents/guardians must ensure that learners are collected promptly at the end of the session, as we don't have a child minding service available.

19. To end lessons, a 30-day notice period is required, whereafter the final invoice will be send out to ensure the account is settled in full before the lessons end.

20. No homework club lessons during school holidays or on public holidays.
