Jim E. Warne is a member of the Oglala Lakota (Sioux) Nation. He is president of Warrior Society Development, LLC and consults for various government agencies, organizations and Tribal Nations. He is currently a consultant for the UArizona Sonoran Center for Excellence in Disabilities and is an impassioned motivational speaker and Native advocate.
Jim is a Motivational Speaker, Native Advocate and has experience including Congressional Testimonies, Cultural Diversity, Workforce Inclusion, Film Production, Actor/Stuntman, Professional Football, Youth Athletic/Life Skill Camps, Grant & Organizational Development including Higher Education Administration. His WSD Productions Film Division produced “7th Generation” an Award-Winning Documentary Jim produced and wrote. His short film, “Oyate` un Ito`wapi - Pictures of my People” was featured on Fox NFL Pregame Show on Thanksgiving 2020 and FOX Network show, “Voices” Special on Martin Luther King Day 2021.
Criteria for Nominees for the Jim E. Warne American Indian Youth Leadership Award are as follows:
- Nominee must be a Native person who has a disability, under the age of 30
- Nominee must identify with and have an affiliation with a Tribal Nation
- Nominee must have demonstrated leadership skills, which are described through this nomination process
