This contract is between Molly Kenefick and/or a representative of Doggy Lama Pet Care, Inc. (“DLPC”) and Client as identified in this form below, for dog walking, dog boarding, daycare, or drop-in visit services.
TERMS & CONDITIONS
1. For dog services, Client must sign up for a package of at least two walks per week on a regular schedule. Client’s bank accounts are debited or credit cards are charged automatically once a month on or about the 5th day of the month after services are completed. We do not offer group walks, buddy walks, or puppy play group on weekdays after 5 PM, or on Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays. Prices are listed on the website and are subject to change with notice.
2. DLPC agrees to provide pet care services in a reliable, trustworthy, and caring manner.
3. Client authorizes DLPC to perform pet care services.
4. If Client’s pet(s) become ill while in the care of DLPC, if I am not reachable, I authorize DLPC to care for my pet(s) by transport to my veterinarian (or the nearest available vet) if DLPC feels this is needed in DLPC’s best judgment. I authorize DLPC to approve any emergency treatment recommended by the veterinarian apart from euthanasia. Client agrees to pay promptly for any charges incurred. Client releases DLPC from all liabilities related to transportation, treatment, and expense.
5. Client agrees to hold harmless DLPC, whether based upon negligence or otherwise.
6. It is expressly understood and agreed that DLPC shall not be held responsible for any damage to Client’s property, or that of others, caused by pet(s) while under the care of DLPC.
7. If Client’s pet bites or attacks anything (animal or person), DLPC reserve(s) the right to refuse service. Bites must be reported to the local authorities. Client agrees they are liable for all medical care expenses and damages that result from an animal bite.
8. Client agrees to hold harmless DLPC for injury, disappearance, or death of pet(s).
9. Pets must be home at time of pick-up for dog walks and/or drop-in visits. If the pet is not at home during the regular window of service, Client will pay for service in full. Pet must be dropped off and picked up at DLPC home for boarding or Client and DLPC can arrange for DLPC to pick up or drop off pet. Client will pay for this additional service.
10. All dogs under DLPC care must be up to date with flea and/or tick treatments. During boarding, if DLPC deems appropriate, Client authorizes DLPC to treat their dog with flea/tick treatment(s). Client will reimburse for the cost of treatment(s).
11. Damages: Client agrees to pay for damage caused to home and/or vehicle and/or property caused by Client’s animal(s).
12. Revision of contracts: The term of the contract will begin on the date on which it is first signed by Client. If DLPC revises the contract, DLPC will email the Client and require the Client to log onto the client portal in PSP to agree to the revised terms and conditions.
13. Billing: All Clients are required to sign up for Auto Pay unless otherwise agreed to. Client’s account will be invoiced and charged at the beginning of the next month for the prior month's services (for example, around June 5th, Clients will be charged for May services).
14. Cancellation policy for dog walks: As all walks are included in package pricing, and although Client may cancel any walks, Clients will still pay for them. Client will not pay for canceled walks in an emergency in which DLPC cannot provide a walker on a particular day. In that case, DLPC will ensure that clients are given as much notice as possible and are not charged.
15. Cancellation policy for drop-in visits: The full fee is due to DLPC for any visits canceled with less than 24 hours notice of cancellation (24 business hours, not weekend hours). There will be no drop-in visits during DLPC holiday periods unless otherwise arranged, during which applicable holiday charges will be added.
16. Doggy Lama does not provide regular services on these days, unless services are specifically arranged:
- New Years Day
- Memorial Day
- Juneteenth
- Independence Day/4th of July
- Labor Day
- Thanksgiving
- The day after Thanksgiving
- Christmas Eve
- Christmas Day
These days are included in Clients’ monthly packages and canceled services are not credited. DLPC is also closed the week between Christmas Day and New Years Day. DLPC will adjust the packages of Clients who have regularly scheduled walks during that week so they will be credited for those days. Services on the days listed above and the week between Christmas and New Year's Day incur an extra fee (as listed on the website).
