Drive Smart Idaho Enrollment Form

Behind the Wheel Instruction Only*
This form is for students who only need behind-the-wheel instruction and have received their in-classroom (or online) instruction from another source. If the student needs the entire Driver's Ed course, which includes state approved online coursework and behind-the-wheel instruction, please fill out this form: Full Course Enrollment instead.

Note (Students under 17): To conform with Idaho Driver's Ed business law, Drive Smart Idaho, LLC will only accept Certificates of Completion for online coursework from www.DriveSmartIdaho.com, www.IDLA.org (Idaho Digital Learning Alliance), www.DriversEd.com, or Idaho Online Drivers Education (by Brian Johns). If the Student has received in-person classroom/coursework, it must be from an Idaho-approved public or private resource. You can view all Idaho public programs HERE. You can also search for Idaho Licensed private Drivers Ed businesses HERE.

If the Student has not received their classroom/coursework from one of the resources listed above, Drive Smart Idaho, LLC will be unable to provide the Student their permit. Do not complete this enrollment the student has not received classroom/coursework from one of the approved resources listed.

Students over 17: Students over 17 are required to have a Permit receipt from an Idaho DMV or a valid Drivers License to enroll in Drive Smart Idaho's Behind-the-Wheel only instruction.

To enroll in Drive Smart Idaho's behind-the-wheel instruction only, the Student must have completed classrom (or online) coursework, as required by the State of Idaho. If the Student has not completed any classroom course work, then the Student should enroll in the Drive Smart Idaho Full Course. The Full Course includes the classroom coursework as well as the behind-the-wheel instruction. The enrollment form for the Full Course can be found here: Drive Smart Idaho - Full Course Enrollment

You will be unable to submit this form. The Student will not be able to enroll in behind-the-wheel instruction until he/she has applied for a Driver's Permit and a receipt has been provided to Drive Smart Idaho. If the Student has an existing Driver's License from another state or country, please upload a copy of that as an alternative to a Driver's Permit reciept.
