    Welcome to the East Brunswick Police Department's Online Reporting System. Our goal is to provide citizens with a convenient method for immediately reporting minor incidents to the East Brunswick Police Department. The process is quick and easy - simply fill out the forms on your computer or mobile device, verify the information is accurate, and submit it for review.

    To be eligible to file an Online Incident Report, ALL of the following MUST BE TRUE:

    • NOT an emergency or crime in progress
    • Does NOT require immediate police involvement
    • Occurred within the Township of East Brunswick
    • You are at least (18) years of age
    • NOT a Domestic Violence offense (physical, emotional, or verbal abuse / violation of court issued protective order)
    • NOT a crime involving a weapon
    • Does NOT involve significant property loss
    • Does NOT involve loss or theft of firearms, weapons, prescription medication or narcotics
    • There is NO physical evidence to be collected (including video surveillance)
    • NOT a violent crime (personal assault, kidnapping, robbery)
    • NOT a bias incident or hate crime
    • NOT a sex crime (rape or sexual assault)
    • NOT a stolen motor vehicle or lost/stolen license plate
    • NOT an assault resulting in serious injuries (requires hospitalization or medical treatment)
    • NOT a traffic crash or accident

    A valid address within the Township of East Brunswick MUST be entered below. If the incident occurred outside of the Township of East Brunswick, it MUST be reported to the local law enforcement agency where the incident occurred. Reports may be rejected if an invalid address is provided or the incident occurred in another jurisdiction.

  • Police reports should contain accurate, detailed, and informative information about a crime or incident. If any of these six questions cannot be answered, the report should contain as much information as possible. Reports that do not contain relevant, detailed, and informative information will be rejected.

  • Filing a false police report is a crime. Any person who gives or causes to be given false information to any law enforcement officer, with respect to the commission of any crime or incident, is guilty of a fourth degree crime under the New Jersey Code of Criminal Justice (2C:28-4). Fourth degree crimes are punishable by a fine of not more than $1,000.00, or by imprisonment for not more than 18 months, or both.
