    We are excited to invite you to join the Friends of Educafe membership programme and become a vital part of the transformative community work we do in West Berkshire. 

    We welcome all individuals, sole traders, businesses, public services, and charities in West Berkshire and beyond to lend a hand and become a committed partner in efforts to support our local community. In return, benefit from raising your profile locally and being a true community changemaker.

    Our humble weekly café has grown into a bustling hub and we want to keep all of our activities FREE to those who need community connection, support & friendship.

      • Reduce loneliness, isolation, and address mental health issues for people from all walks of life and at all life stages. 
      • Support young families to ensure their little ones get the best start in life. 
      • Deliver free, drop-in English support to welcome diverse communities. 
      • Mobilise volunteers to contribute thousands of hours of unpaid work that directly support our community. 
      • Connect & signpost our incredible local services and organisations serving West Berks residents.

    • Benefits of being a Friend of Educafe 
    • In return for your support, you'll enjoy: 

      • An open invitation to attend our weekly cafe and Who's Who meetings for 40+ weeks of the year
      • Inclusion on our Friends of Educafe website listings. 
      • A Friends of Educafe logo to use in your communications and apply to your website, email signature, printed materials, social media etc
      • Access to request additional engagement activities, including face-to-face and digital outreach opportunities (eg via our WhatsApp and Parent Village groups), research and insight or stands and speaking slots at weekly cafe.
      • Invitations to be part of future Educafe projects, events, and activities.

      • Shout outs on our socials and in our regular newsletter.

      See below for what's included in your basic Friends of Educafe membership plus additional engagement and communications opportunities.

    • Who can join? 
    • Friends of Educafe membership is open to all individuals, businesses, charities, and those who wish to support our activities. Regular attendance at Educafe is not required, but we would love to see you every now and then to share the impact we're making together. 

    • How long does membership last? 
    • Friends of Educafe is an annual subscription.

       

      It will start from the 1st of of the coming month and run a total of 12 month. 

      For example, if you applied for the subscription on 20th January, 2025 your process will start from February the 1st and will will last till 31st of January, 2026. 

    • Suggested donations & membership packages 
    • The below grid outlines suggested donations based on the size of your organisation and explains what level of & communications/engagement activities are included.

      Sole = individuals, soles traders etc

      Community = local community org or charity

      Corp = Regional/National organisation

      Extra engagement activities include (POA):

      Video/photography content captured for socials
      Stand at Educafe
      Bespoke newsletter
      Parents Village slot/"Town Crier" speaking slot at weekly cafe
      Bespoke workshop/consultation/engagement activity
      WhatsApp shout-out

      Your donation helps cover the weekly cafe's operating costs and ensures we can continue to serve and support our community. 

      We understand for some organisations that this may require a contribution from your communications/marketing/engagement & outreach budget or permission from senior management/central office. If you need any additonal information to support your request, please email friend@educafeuk.co.uk

       

    • How to make membership payment 
    • 1. Please check which category of of organisation you fall into (see "Suggested donations & membership packages" above).

      2. Make your membership payment via BACS:

    • Exemptions 
    • The following individuals or organisations who already contribute to Educafe may complete this form without making a donation:

      • Participants in the Parents Village monthly schedule who provide their time for free on a regular basis (one-off slots by request can be arranged for a fee. See 'Additional engagement activities" below).
      • Regular contributors to the "Bake A Difference" community baking schedule and the Seated Wellbeing schedule.
      • Friends who have an existing discretionary arrangment in place.
    • How to complete this form 
    • 1. Prepare to share and upload a description of your organisation, logos/branding, or URLs.

      2. Make your Friend of Educafe donation as per instructions above.

      3. Once done, please read our A Guide for Friends of Educafe (2024) (signposted upon form completion). 

      4. If you wish to commission any further engagment activities, please submit an Engagement Request or contact hello@educafeuk.co.uk

       

       

    • Additional engagement activities 
    • Educafe can support you in reaching our audiences through various engagement activities, including:

      • social media & our WhatsApp groups of 500+ local residents
      • face-to-face workshops 
      • a stand at our weekly cafe or session in Parents Village
      • inclusion in our newsletter
      • through out network of funders, friends and partners

      Engagement requests can only be made by Friends of Educafe. Educafe's support to deliver these activities involves a fee.
