A Green Career Agri-Production & Animal Nutrition Pathway
Our Youth Producer Team learn valuable skills from professionals in Urban Agriculture & Animal Nutrition where nothing goes to waste! Youth Producers experience daily micro-farm life by learning responsible animal husbandry, and discovering how nutritious poultry feed is created through hands-on traditional and modern practices. Youth Producers learn teamwork and equipment safety while earning paid workforce experience.
During the program Producers earn accredited certifications such as ServSafe Food Handlers (ages 10+), First Aid (ages 11 +) & CPR (ages 16+), and American Red Cross Babysitter Training (ages 11+). At successful completion of the program, Youth Producers earn employment opportunities, but are strongly encouraged to pursue entrepreneurship.
Some Career Pathways can be: Agriculture, Animal Nutrition, Feed Manufacturing, Agribusiness, Veterinary Services, Animal Science, Poultry Production, Farm Management, Business Ownership, Entrepreneurship.
