    Ages 10 - 18 

    A Green Career Landscaping & Construction Pathway

    Our Youth Producer Team learn valuable skills from professionals in the fields of Landscaping and Construction. Youth Producers develop professional landscaping skills through hands-on projects that beautify homes, and community spaces. They also learn construction fundamentals by designing, building, and installing custom raised beds that increase access to fresh foods for families and neighborhoods. The Youth Producers learn teamwork, professional interaction with customers, equipment safety, plant identification, use of hand and power tools, and design while earning paid workforce experience.

    During the program Youth Producers earn accredited certifications such as OSHA 10 (ages 16+) and First Aid (ages 11+) & CPR (ages 16 +). At successful completion of the program, Youth Producers earn landscaping and construction certifications (ages 10+) along with employment opportunities in the field, but are strongly encouraged to pursue entrepreneurship.

    Some Career Pathways can be: Landscaping, Urban Forestry, Grounds Maintenance, Carpentry, Construction, Skilled Trades, Manufacturing, Business Ownership, Entrepreneurship.

    EACH WEEK INCLUDES: 1 work day, 1 elevating workshop day, and 1 certification day.
