THE WHO, THE WHAT, THE WHEN AND THE WHERE...
- TRIO Talent Search (TS) will be visiting Southwestern Community College on Wednesday, Jaunuary 14, 2026.
- All middle school students, grades 6 - 8, are invited to attend.
- Parents can drop off & pick up their students at the Creston SWCC Campus in the Tech I Building, north of the Southern Prairie Family Fitness Center (SPFFC).

HOW TO ATTEND:
- Students and parent/guardian need to complete and sign this form.
- Limited space available. Trips are on a first come, first serve basis.
- Our office must have a completed permission form no later than day of event.
- Once form is completed, you will receive a confirmation postcard in the mail.
ABOUT THE TRIP:
- FREE Trip!
- Students participating in the trip will tour the campus and supper will be provided in an on-campus dining center.
- Attend a SWCC basketball game at Southwestern Community College.
- The game is estimated to be 2 hours long, therefore, the end time of this event will be approximately 8:30 pm. If the game gets over earlier or later, cellular phones will be available for students to notify their parent/guardian of updated return times.
- Drop-off/pick-up will be at the Creston SWCC Campus in the Tech I building, so students will not have to look through the game attendance traffic to find their transportation.
STUDENT EXPECTATIONS:
- As a participant of the TRIO TS program, it is a privilege to participate in this activity. Your behavior is a reflection, not only of you as an individual, but the program as well. We want everyone to enjoy the experience. It is ver important that everyone follows the expectations in order to particpate in future activites. If a student doesn't follow the expectations below, we reserve the right to send a student home at any time at the participant's expense.
- Students are expected to listen and be respectful of the staff and volunteers.
- Student should wear comfortable clothing, walking shoes and a coat or jacket.
- The following behaviors are NOT allowed:
- loud and/or inappropriate behavior
- harassment
- fighting and other disruptive behavior
- theft
- destruction of property
- The following are strictly prohibited: possession of any alcohol, drugs, tobacco, vaping products, or weapons.

WARNING: If you sign up to attend an TS event and do not show up and do not call to let us know, you will not be allowed to attend another campus visit or cultural trip for the current semester and the following semester. Please call 641-782-1392 if you cannot make it.
