We are excited to welcome or celebrate your organization with our event services designed to help you celebrate this significant milestone.To receive ribbon cutting, ground breaking or anniversary support services, please complete this REQUIRED form following all policies and procedures.   • IMPORTANT: To receive event support services, this form must be completed and received a minimum of two weeks prior to the event date.
    We REQUIRE a minimum two weeks' notice.

  • What to Expect

    During a typical ribbon cutting, ground breaking or anniversary ceremony, the Stafford County Economic Development department can bring the ceremonial big scissors with ribbon or decorative shovels. A representative from the Stafford County Government will be invited to welcome your organization to the county. We encourage someone from your organization to speak during the ceremony as well. After the speeches, we will pose for pictures and cut the ribbon. We will share the event images with you once they are processed. Post-event, we can help distribute a press release produced by your organization to local media, include it in our online newsroom, and share it on our social media platforms.

    Our event support services are available Monday through Friday, from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. For specialty circumstances, we may accommodate requests outside of these timeframes based on availability and resources.

    Reminder: It is a requirement for your business to be registered with the Stafford County Commissioner of Revenue’s Office and have a current Business Registration Certificate, as well as an Occupancy Permit and Health Permits (if applicable).
