ALL APPLICATION MATERIALS & SUPPORTING DOCUMENTATION MUST BE RECIEVED BY FRIDAY, APRIL 25, 2025
Each application will be evaluated by a committee and final selections will be based on the information referenced in the documents. Incomplete or untimely (i.e., received after the submission deadline) applications will not be considered; nor will they be returned. We prefer that all the information and supported documentation be uploaded with the application. You may email the Committee and Chairperson at electa14scholarship@gmail.com by the deadline if you experience any issues making an electronic submission. APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS:
Head Shot/Photo (must be appropriate for marketing use and to be added in the program. Senior/graduation photos welcomed)
1. Completed and Signed Application (this form);
2. Official Transcript. Can be emailed by the school or scanned and uploaded with the application. We reserve the right to contact the school for verification.
3. Two Letters of Reference, each of which specifically addresses/discusses your character, financial Need, and academic aptitude/decorum. At least one must be from a high school teacher/administrator. Recommendations from friends/family members will not be considered. Persons familiar with your community service and leadership involvement outside the school may also submit letters. Recommendations can be emailed to electa14scholarship@gmail.com but must be received by the FRIDAY, APRIL 25, 2025 Deadline. Letters can also be uploaded with the application. We reserve the right to contact your reference for verification. If your school needs to forward any documents via email separately contact the Chairperson. Those materials must also be received by the deadline.
4. Each applicant must submit a Succinctly Written Essay (2-3 pages) by YOU, the Applicant. Feel free to use your creativity but the strongest essays will contain the following information, we strongly encourage you to use the questions as a guide to write your essay:
- Introduce yourself and your future goals.
- Why do you want to receive a college education and what would it mean to you to receive this scholarship?
- From a financial standpoint, what impact would this $1,000/$800/$500 scholarship have on your education/future?
- Share some of your extracurricular/community service activities; and describe how you have demonstrated leadership ability both in and out of school.
- Who in your life has been your biggest influence and why?
- Discuss a special attribute or accomplishment that sets you apart.
