  • Important information

    What is this survey for?

We are collecting anonymous testimonies from image-based abuse survivors about their experiences with the police.

We are asking a series of multiple-choice questions, with a “free text” box for any comments you may wish to add.

What will happen with my story?

We believe that survivors need to be heard and their experiences at the heart of all campaigning for change. As such, we are collecting stories to work towards improving the way the police (and the criminal justice system as a whole) respond to image-based abuse across the UK.

The testimonies will be used to inform and change policy and legislation across the UK. Therefore, we will be sharing the testimonies we gather with relevant policy-makers and law-makers and in the media (including on social media) to bring about change.

Who can fill in this survey?

Survivors of image-based abuse who are 18+ and want to share their experiences with the police and the criminal justice system. We are gathering testimony from survivors across the UK so England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland.

Consent is paramount to us so we are not accepting second-hand submissions such as from friends and family as we can’t be sure that consent was given.

Do I have to be anonymous?

Yes, because we take safeguarding very seriously. We request that you do not refer to any personal or identifying information in the free text box, as this survey must be anonymous.
