    This form is used solely to RSVP and schedule your audition time, audition group, and attendance preferences on a first-come, first-served basis for Hersheypark Dark Nights.

    Whether you’re joining us for the very first time, returning as Alumni, or stepping back into the fog as an All-Star, all applicants are required to attend an in-person audition experience. These sessions function as auditions, callbacks, and creative meet-and-greets, giving our Production and Casting teams the opportunity to collaborate with you directly as we begin building our boldest season yet. 

    Season 5 is more than just another haunt season, it's a party!

    We’re celebrating five years of monsters, mayhem, and unforgettable moments, and we’re looking for performers ready to help us bring this milestone season to life. This is your chance to make a strong first impression, ask questions, showcase your personality, and prepare for an epic season ahead.

    GROUP AUDITIONS & MONSTER CREWS

    Want to audition with your friends, roommates, haunt family, theater troupe, or monster squad? Group sign-ups are welcome!

    Applicants may request to audition together as a group; please try to include your new recruits/referrals. The goal is to help quickly break the ice and create a collaborative and supportive audition environment while still giving new monsters the opportunity to connect, learn, and play alongside experienced performers.

    Please note that group requests are not guaranteed and may be adjusted based on scheduling and operational needs.

    OPTIONAL ALL-STAR VETERAN CALLBACKS

    Returning All-Stars attending Thursday’s All-Star / Invite Only Interview Night may RSVP for additional Friday or Saturday callback sessions prior to leaving Thursday evening.

    These optional sessions provide additional face-time with Casting & Production while allowing veteran All-Stars more than one opportunity to show off their scares, performance style, and skillset to our Casting Team throughout the weekend.

    Interested All-Stars may:

    • Participate in additional audition rounds
    • Receive additional performance/improv facetime with Casting
    • Help maintain energy and atmosphere during sessions
    • Showcase versatility across multilple groups and games. 

    Please Note:

    • Participation is optional and not required for casting consideration
    • All-Stars may participate in up to 2–3 additional sessions pending availability and Production approval

    Once your submission is complete, you’ll receive a confirmation email with your scheduled audition time, arrival instructions, and additional details on how to prepare.

  • FREE PARKING 

    Parking will be available onsite throughout the weekend. Due to limited capacity, performers are strongly encouraged to carpool, rideshare, or arrive alongside their audition groups whenever possible. 

  • CHECK-IN STATION

    Upon arrival, all monsters should report directly to the Registration Tent to check-in and confirm your audition group assignments. 

  • KNOW-BEFORE-YOU-GO

    • Please plan to spend approximately 45 minutes up to 1.5 hour with us during your scheduled audition session. 
    • All performers should report directly to the Registration Tent upon arrival to confirm check-in and audition group placement. 
    • Limited parking will be available onsite. Carpooling and rideshare are strongly encouraged. 
    • Wear comfortable, movement-friendly clothing and closed-toe shoes suitable for physical activity. 
    • No prepared monologue is required.
    • Please bring water, snacks, and any personal items needed for your comfort throughout the audition process. 
    • Performers moving forward in the casting process should be prepared to provide valid documentation for 2026 onboarding and I-9 verification requirements. Acceptable forms may include a Passport, Social Security Card, Birth Certificate, State ID, or Driver's License. 
    • Due to updated Pennsylvania employment regulations, performers must be at least 18 years old by their official first date of work.

  • Because of updated Pennsylvania employment regulations, all performers must be at least 18 years old by their official first date of work with Hersheypark Dark Nights.

    Applicants who are currently 17 years old are still encouraged to apply and audition if they will turn 18 during the operating season. However, performers may not begin onboarding, training, rehearsals, or scheduled work until they have officially reached 18 years of age. Availability and placement opportunities for late-season onboarding may vary based on operational needs.

  • As we celebrate five years of uncaged chaos, our casting flow is organized into "Performance Statuses" designed to help Casting and Production structure experiences, recruit, and welcome new nightmares into the dark. 

  • New Hire / First-Time Performer

    For performers who have never previously worked with Hersheypark Dark Nights. New Hires will reserve an available Friday or Saturday audition sessions and will be assigned into rotating audition groups upon check-in and arrival.

  • Returning Performers

    Former Dark Nights performers who are itching to return after a season or two away from the fog. Returners are welcome to join us in available slots in Friday or Saturday sessions and will be assigned into rotating audition groups upon check-in and arrival. 

  • Alumni

    Veteran Dark Nights performers who have participated in the last two consecutive seasons. Alumni performers are encouraged to help recruit and bring friend groups, referrals, and returning crews throughout audition weekend.

    Alumni requesting Group Audition Placement may reserve space for themselves plus up to five additional performers as part of their group request.

  • All-Stars / Non-Local Alumni

    Thursday is reserved for All-Star performers, specialty talent, and Non-Local Alumni interested in returning.

    Non-Locals will be scheduled for virtual audition sessions via Teams.

    These smaller sessions are designed to provide facetime with Casting and Production ahead of the audition weekend. 

  • ALL-STARS & NON-LOCAL ALUMNI

    Thursday evening appointments are reserved for returning Dark Nights All-Stars and Non-Local Alumni.

    NON-LOCAL ALUMNI (VIRTUAL AUDITIONS)
    2:00 PM – 4:00 PM
    Virtual interview appointments for returning alumni unable to attend auditions in person.

    ALL-STAR INTERVIEWS & APPOINTMENTS
    4:00 PM – 8:00 PM
    Smaller group “Talkback & Interview” sessions with members of the Creative, Casting, and Production Teams. Sessions are designed to be more conversational than a traditional audition and may include up to five performers per time block.

    New applicants and local alumni should plan to attend Friday or Saturday’s general audition sessions.

     

  • NEW HIRE & RETURNING AUDITIONS

    New Hires and/or Returning Performers can reserve an available Friday or Saturday session below. Please select below the Group/Session you'd like to join. 

    Upon check-in and arrival, performers confirmed aboard their rotating audition group (A-Q) led by members of our Casting and Production teams, alongside returning monsters and veteran performers from previous seasons of Hersheypark Dark Nights.

    These sessions are designed to help performers meet fellow cast members, participate in movement and improv exercises, explore atmosphere and character work, and experience the energy of Dark Nights audition weekend firsthand.

    No prepared monologue is required. Bring comfortable movement-friendly clothing, water, and plenty of energy. 

  • ALUMNI & GROUP REQUESTS

    Alumni / Group Audition Requests will allow Alumni to reserve an available Friday or Saturday audition session below. Alumni performers may request placement for themselves and up to four other people. 

    Upon check-in and arrival, Alumni Groups join the rotating audition groups alongside New Hires, Returners, and other possible All-Star/Alumni performers throughout the weekend experience. These sessions are designed to help performers reconnect, welcome new monsters into the darkness, and participate in movement, improv, atmosphere, and character-based audition exercises.

    No prepared monologue is required. Bring comfortable movement-friendly clothing, water, and plenty of energy.

  • ALUMNI GROUP REQUESTS

    Alumni performers acting as an Alumni Group Lead may reserve one available group placement per audition session for Hersheypark Dark Nights. Each group request may include the Alumni Group Lead plus up to four additional performers. (5 in total, including Group Lead).

    After selecting your preferred audition session below, please list the names of all requested group members, including each performer’s current Performer Status (New Hire, Returning Performer, Alumni, etc.). Group requests may include a mixture of experience levels and are designed to help welcome new monsters into the darkness alongside veteran performers throughout audition weekend.

    Please note that group requests are reviewed and finalized by Production based on availability and operational needs.
