  • 4.      RESULTS AND KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS

  • Key Performance Indicators (KPI) are the means to measure the performance of a project against its stated aims and goals. They give a project direction and a means of measuring progress. And they allow analysis and conclusions to be drawn at the end of the project in the interests of the wider network.

In this section, you will outline the aims and goals of the project and choose a measure that will allow the impact of your project to be assessed – whether those goals are finally met or not. Failure can be as valuable as success. What matters is that we find measurable criteria. See Collaborate To Innovate Guidelines.

    ■ Measurement

Choose a measure that will allow the impact of your project to be assessed – whether those goals are finally met or not.

Please turn the project aims and goals (that you provided in section B) into measurable targets, showing what the current performance is and a target improvement as well as the way you plan to measure this (for example, audience surveys, pre and post project interview with participating cinemas, box office data, web analytics, etc)

    Examples:

    • growth in the range/diversity of films presented
    • projected audience numbers for a specific film or film programme
    • projected level of engagement in outreach/marketing activity
    • % increase in young audiences
    • % increase in levels of confidence in engaging audiences in European films amongst participating cinemas
    • raised awareness about European films amongst audiences
    • levels of improvement in more sustainable practices amongst participating cinemas and the wider network

Please note that the table below includes some examples of possible KPIs, but it is you to decide whether these are suitable for your project or not, you may use some of them or define completely different KPIs regarding your project.
