This letter is to confirm the terms of our engagement with you to ensure an understanding of our mutual responsibilities. We ask all clients for whom tax returns are prepared to agree to the following arrangements:
1) You have given us authorization to prepare and file your income tax return(s) as per your documentation submitted to our firm.
2) Our work in connection with the preparation of your income tax return does not include any additional services such as bookkeeping, audit representation, etc. These are additional cost services that are not included in the cost of the tax preparation.
3) It is your responsibility to provide all the information and documentation for the preparation of a complete and accurate tax return. You should retain all documents such as tax statements, invoices, canceled checks, cash receipts, bank statements, and credit card statements that form the basis of income and deductions for at least (3) years after filing.
4) Our firm will review the information you provided and will contact you if any additional information is needed.
5) Once the tax return(s) has been completed, we will inform you of the outcome, cost of services (fees via website), and payment options.
6) Once payment for services is established, we will forward a copy of the tax return for your review and signing. When you have signed all the appropriate forms, we will electronically submit your tax return to the IRS for processing.
IMPORTANT NOTICE: If you choose the bank product option (having the fees withheld from your tax refund) but your refund is unfunded by the government or offset by other debt obligations, it will be your responsibility to pay for our tax services in a timely manner. Otherwise, the signed bank product agreement gives the Auto-Collect program the authority to withdraw any outstanding charges from your bank account.
