Request for Applications
The National FFA Organization is seeking interested agencies within a twenty mile radius of downtown Indianapolis with an educational, service or philanthropic mission to act as a host site for the 2020 FFA National Days of Service (NDoS) event scheduled for October 26th, 29th & 30th, 2020. The NDoS event, occurring during the National FFA Convention & Expo, provides a community service opportunity for more than 2,500 FFA members to engage in quality service activities while leaving a positive impact on the host site organization.
ABOUT NATIONAL FFA ORGANIZATION

The FFA motto gives members 12 short words to live by as they experience the opportunities provided by the organization with the last line of the FFA motto being “Living to Serve”. This signifies the vital role service plays within our organization. PROPOSAL ELIGIBILITY AND GUIDELINES
Any organization with an educational, service or philanthropic mission may submit a proposal to actively engage FFA members in service opportunities with their organization. Proposals that will be considered must:
Demonstrate a genuine need for volunteer engagement.
Offer participants' a hands-on volunteer experience as well as education about the organizational need being addressed through the service activity.
Actively engage a minimum of 40 FFA volunteers per shift on the day chosen for participation.
Identify and make available adult volunteers to provide guidance and oversight at their sites on the day of service. Minimum adult to student ratio is 1:10. (FFA will NOT provide adult volunteers for the site)
Be located no more than 40 minutes of travel time from Victory Field (registration location) in downtown Indianapolis.
Provide a primary contact to serve as the liaison between FFA and the host site and will be present during activities hosted at the site.
Provide a bus rider (which can also be the primary contact) to ride the bus with the participants from the NDoS registration location to the host site and back.
Provide a backup rain plan to engage the number of FFA members requested.
Ensure necessary resources are available for a successful project and experience for FFA volunteers.
Attend the mandatory host site meeting prior to the National FFA Convention and submit all requested information in a timely manner.

This application is only for requesting the volunteer efforts of FFA members to aid in the organization’s betterment. No funding can be provided by the National FFA Organization for your site’s proposed project.
The National FFA Organization’s National Days of Service staff reserves the right to:
Reject any or all proposals received.
Waive or modify minor irregularities in proposals received after prior notification and agreement of applicant.
