What is Equip & Go
FM Equip & Go is a 10‑day mission trip designed to equip in evangelism, strengthen faith, and bring the gospel to communities in Shetland.
Each morning, you’ll take part in interactive evangelism training—learning how to start meaningful conversations, bring discussions naturally around to the gospel, and share your testimony with clarity and impact. You’ll explore how to answer common objections to the Christian message and gain practical insight into engaging people through door‑to‑door, street evangelism, and personal conversations. You'll then have chance to put that training into practice—taking the gospel into local communities, meeting people where they are, gaining confidence in evangelism and more importantly discovering the joy of sharing Christ in real situations.
Evenings are devoted to a mission—relaxed, informal meetings where someone shares their personal testimony, followed by a passionate gospel message. These meetings are the heartbeat of the trip. The hope is that those we’ve met and spoken with during the day will come along to hear more of the good news. The team often has opportunities to share testimonies, perhaps lead a meeting and engage people in warm gospel conversations. There is nothing greater than seeing people sitting under the message of the gospel and sensing God at work in hearts.
But it's not all work! The afternoons offer opportunities to explore the beauty and culture of this lovely region. From its rugged coastline, the stunning beaches and a trip to some of the northern isles. It's not just the sights but also the people, enjoying the opportunity to meet and build friendships.

Why we ask for an application
The purpose of this application is not to assess whether you have “enough” experience—no previous evangelism experience is required. All you need is a desire to learn, grow, and serve Christ. The information you provide simply helps us get to know you better and ensure that the trip is a good fit for you and for the team dynamic. As a Mission, we have a deep passion for the lost and a sincere burden to bring the gospel message to rural areas. Because of that, we hope that those who apply share a similar longing.
If you have any other questions about the trip or the application process, please do not hesitate to contact us. Otherwise, we look forward to receiving your application.
