  • In 2025 Female Football Week will take place from Friday, May 2nd to Sunday, May 11th.

    Female Football Week is all about recognising the role women play in football and referees are no exception. Leaders on and off the field, female match officials across the country are changing the game and taking charge of matches from grassroots to the national level.

     Referee Panel - Monday 5th May

    • Registration: Registration is essential and open to all genders and roles in the game (referees, players, coaches, parents, volunteers, club administators)

    During this panel (hosted by Lucy Saul), FIFA Referee Casey Reibelt alongside FIFA Assistant Referees Emma Kocbek and Maddy Allum will speak about their pathway as match officials and their experience being involved as part of the first all-female crew to officiate an A-League Men's match.

      Casey Reibelt - FIFA Referee

      Casey is an accomplished match official with a career spanning over 20 years. Casey was one of three Australia match officials at the Women's World Cup 2023, where she refereed two group stage matches and one Round of 16 as a fourth official. 

      In 2022, she became the second female to referee an A-League Men's match and in 2025, led the first all female referee crew on an A-League Men's fixture. 

      Maddy Allum - FIFA Assistant Referee

      Starting out with Canterbury Referees Association, Maddy made the leap to the A-League Women’s panel for the 2021/22 season after graduating from the Football NSW Referee Academy. She officiated the 2022/23 A-League Women’s Grand Final and in 2024, was appointed to the FIFA International Referee list as an AR.

      In 2024, Maddy debuted on the A-League Men's competition before accompanying Casey as an assistant referee as part of the first all female crew on an A-League Men's fixture.

      Emma Kocbek - FIFA Assistant Referee

      Emma began her career with Nepean Referees Group and progressed through the FNSW pathways before being selected on the A-League Women's Panel. In 2023/24 she officiated the A-League Women's Grand Final and in 2024, was appointed to the FIFA International Referee list as an AR.

      In 2024, Emma debuted on the A-League Men's competition and was appointed alongside Casey and Maddy as part of the first all female crew on an A-League Men's match.
