COACHER Pathway Program – Application Overview

Data shows that only 14% of coaches in Victoria are female. Football Victoria is proud to launch the COACHER Pathway Program, a game-changing initiative dedicated to increasing the number of female coaches across all levels of the game. Women remain underrepresented in coaching, from grassroots to the professional level, and we are committed to changing that.

Through the COACHER Pathway Program, we are creating a sustainable pathway for female coaches, ensuring more women, girls, and gender-diverse individuals can lead, inspire, and shape the future of football in Victoria.

As part of this initiative, we are thrilled to announce the next round of funded coaching courses and workshops for 2025, designed to remove barriers and provide financial support, mentorship, and development opportunities. This program empowers both aspiring and current female coaches to take their next step in the game.

Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for the program, applicants must:

Identify as female or gender-diverse

Be aged 14 years or older

Reside full-time in Victoria

Hold a valid Working with Children Check (WWCC) if 18 years or older

Apply by submitting this form

If selected, commit to completing the selected coaching course or workshop

Note: Funding cannot be used to reimburse current or previously completed coaching courses.
