FMT Audition

Acknowledgements
I give my permission for any photographic/video images taken of me during FMT's production of Frozen to be utilized for publicity or display as deemed appropriate by the Production Staff.*
All cast members will be asked to complete 16 hours of assigned workday duties (set construction, costuming, props, etc.). FMT is a community theatre, where we all participate in the behind-the-scenes making of the production in some way in addition to rehearsals and performance. Participation will be expected of all those cast. Workdays primarily occur on Saturdays; however, if you have a conflict with those days, additional assignments can be arranged. If children are cast, a parent or another designated adult will be expected to complete their required hours. (Your selection does not affect your casting.)
Cast members will be required to provide one or more volunteers for at least one performance to help out with either Box Office, Concessions, or Ushering. A signup link will be provided to the cast.
Parents of Children Cast members: It is our expectation that parents/guardians of children cast will share the responsibility of backstage monitoring of children groups during Tech Week and Performances. A schedule will be created for parent sign-up in to equitably share this responsibility.

Conflict Details
Auditions:

Auditions will consist of an individual vocal audition for each person, followed by a group movement audition.

Vocal Audition Requirements: Sing best 16-32 bars (or approximately 1 min) of Broadway song. Accompanist provided. Please bring sheet music. No soundtracks. A capella not preferred.

Auditions will be held on Wednesday, December 17 at 7 PM and Thursday, December 18 at 7 PM. (You only need to attend one of the two days.)

Callbacks:

Callbacks will be held on Friday, December 19 at 7 PM. You will be contacted in advance if needed for Callbacks.

Rehearsals:

Weeknights 6-10 PM, most nights will start at 7 PM.

Some Saturday mornings, depending on the cast's availability and if scenes/choreography need additional time.

First Full-Cast Meeting:

Friday, January 9th at 7 PM at New Vida Center. This meeting will include activities to get to know each other and obtain music, calendars, and other materials for the rehearsal and performance time frames. Expectations for rehearsals, performances, and volunteers will be discussed.

ALL DATES MUST BE CLEAR OF CONFLICTS FOR SEQUENCE WEEK, TECH WEEK, ALL PERFORMANCES, AND SET STRIKE.

Understanding that our first Cast Meeting is Thursday, January 15, 2026 and our first Rehearsal is Monday, January 19, 2026, please indicate below any and all schedule conflicts for the period of January 15 - February 14.

Please include any work and/or school schedule conflicts that occur on weeknights and/or weekends. We create our rehearsal calendar based on the conflicts noted below, so we need to know when you are available and not available. CONFLICTS NOT ON THE AUDITION FORM WILL NOT BE ACCOMMODATED.

Let it be known that any outside performance experiences coinciding with our production schedule are STRONGLY DISCOURAGED and could jeopardize your role in this production. Therefore, it is absolutely necessary that you clearly indicate any conflicts here and now so that the directors may be able to duly consider whether these may be accommodated.
