  • Plot Synopsis

John Falstaff sends two married women – Mistress Page and Mistress Ford – the exact same love letter. The wives conspire to get revenge on Falstaff by pretending to be interested in his advances. Mistress Ford’s husband believes that she is really interested in Falstaff and disguises himself in order to catch his wife cheating. The Pages disagree about which of the many suitors available their daughter, Anne, should marry. A final prank on Falstaff resolves Ford’s jealousy and allows Anne Page to marry the man she chooses instead of either of her parent’s choices.
