Helping Others And Giving Hope was founded in 2019 by Steven Ferreiro, a high school student in West Miami-Dade County. His inspiration for starting the organization can be traced back to the many things that he has been blessed with and the amount of negative stories that were on the news that he decided that he needed to change that. His inspiration for starting the organization can be traced back to a combination of Steven counting his many blessings but realizing through negative news stories the amount of need that exists in his community and the challenges people face. He decided he wanted to turn that need into fulfillment for others and help his neighbors overcome adversity. Today, more than 8,500 people have been served throughout the community by Helping Others And Giving Hope. We are proud to work with local churches, businesses, government agencies, and other nonprofits to provide help and hope to those who are impoverished, hungry, and hurting. These include scholarships, educational assistance and partnerships with other agencies to magnify community impact.
