The Florida Medical Association (FMA) is seeking volunteer physicians to serve as judges for the 2026 David A. Paulus, MD Poster Symposium. We welcome physicians with an interest in medical research and clinical case presentation and a passion for mentoring students and young physicians.
We are assembling two teams of judges:
- Advance Judging (Virtual)
Judges will review posters based on layout, content, significance, and adherence to published guidelines.
- Onsite Judging (In Person)
Judges will evaluate presenters’ communication skills and their ability to describe their projects or cases and respond to questions.
Advance judging will be a key component of the event. Only the 225 highest-scoring posters from the first review will advance to live presentation during the in-person symposium.
Scheduling Requirements
Advance Judging (Virtual):
Wednesday, June 10 – Thursday, June 18
Instructional tutorials will be provided in advance.
Onsite Judging (In Person):
Saturday, August 1 | Hilton Orlando
9:00–10:30 am or 11:30 am–12:45 pm – Check-in and attend a brief training on the judging process.
1:00–4:00 pm – Two formal judging sessions will be held; judges may participate in one or both.
