  • Apply for the Karl M. Altenburger, MD Physician Leadership Academy

    This premier leadership development program is offered exclusively to FMA members, with a focus on early- and mid-career physicians practicing in Florida. This competitive program brings together physicians from a diverse range of specialties and practice settings who share a common goal: becoming more effective leaders and advocates for their profession and the patients they serve.

    Selected participants will attend five in-person, workshop-style sessions led by nationally recognized experts. The FMA’s Foundation for Healthy Floridians and the Professionals Resource Network will cover the costs of program materials, lodging, included meals, and speaker fees.

    Participants are responsible for their own travel expenses, including airfare, gas, and mileage, to and from each in-person session.

    We encourage physicians who are ready to strengthen their leadership skills, expand their professional network, and make a meaningful impact on the future of medicine in Florida to apply.
